Dear Pooja, Only keep in mind that this "CSR by Various Companies" should not become a separate article by you. I think Wikipedia policies will require that you create separate sub-titles under the Companies' own Wiki-pages and write about it there. So, as I told you in the email, you will be working on parts of multiple Wiki-pages. - Shirin--Shirin tejani (talk) 12:06, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How to incorporate information from sources

[edit]

Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia! I hope that things go well with your class.

I'm afraid that some of the content that you've added to Hindustan Unilever has had to be removed, though, because it does not meet Wikipedia's policies on using previously published text. We are generally not allowed to copy language from other sources (unless we use a very small amount in quotation marks), but must in most cases write everything we put on the encyclopedia from scratch. This keeps us in compliance with the United States copyright laws that govern Wikipedia. A basic overview of our practices (with links to various policies) on using previously published text can be found at Wikipedia:Copy-paste. Please take a few minutes to review it.

Thanks. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:31, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid that there are similar problems with the content you added to the article Wipro. This seems to have been taken, without much modification, from the 2007 book It's only business!: India's corporate social responsiveness in a globalized world. I have removed this material. In addition to the link above, you may want to read through Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing, as it looks like you did rewrite some of the content, but simply not enough. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:38, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. Thanks for your note. You are very welcome to add content in your own words. Rewriting sufficiently to avoid close paraphrasing can be a challenge, but I hope that the page I linked above will help you. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:11, 10 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Article Selection

[edit]

Hey Poojalh, please clarify as to which topic you have chosen. Is it Wipro or is it Hindustan Unilever or is it both in the Course Page. Please revert as soon as possible. Happy editing.

Hey Pooja, nice to see your finally editing Wikipedia, its ok. You can edit both articles, I just needed clarification. Another thing, when you are writing on my talk page, don't just randomly put a comment anywhere as I will probably miss it. The custom is to create your own sub-section by using == Sub-section name here == and then write it there, if you haven't done already. Even if you don't do that, the norm is to write at the bottom of the page. Hence, if you write anywhere in the middle like you did in Anu's section, I might not realise and just ignore it. I've moved your conversation to a sub-section. Please write here if you have any further queries.

Keep editing and make this world a more informative place. Regards, your friendly neighbourhood Campus Ambassador, Debastein1 (talk) 03:55, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Eurosystem article

[edit]

Hey Pooja! I went through the Eurosystem article and found that we can put your topics you mentioned there. There might be a possibility that some other editor might come and suggest a different topic, but we'll deal with that later. I went through several other articles and found that it's okay to put you topics under Eurosystem.

Please go ahead, and best of luck!

Happy Editing :)
