Speedy deletion by User:Itcouldbepossible[edit]

Sorry, I'm not sure if I'm doing this properly. I wrote a short Wiki about a scientist, Wolfgang Liedtke. It is my intention to write pages of various modern living scientists who have been impactful. For the first one, I choice Wolfgang Liedtke because I think he has done important work on understanding pain.

I modeled it after an existing page for another scientist Wiki page, almost exactly, except that I left out a controversies section because I do not know of any. The first draft was declined for being too promotional. I agree it did sound too positive; so I rewrote it to be just the facts.

I submitted a second draft stripped down, just the facts. The feedback for the second draft did not say anything about promotion anymore. Great! It had two new feedback items: (1) Remove LinkedIn as reference. This makes sense, I removed it. In so doing, I eliminated a number of things about the subject person that I had only seen on LinkedIn. (2) Do not list more than 3 refs per item. I reduced to 1-3 refs per item.

I then submitted the third draft yesterday. The third draft was tagged for rapid deletion (G11 promotion of person). I am very confused by this. I referred to other Wiki's about people for example, and I don't see how what I wrote was different from existing pages.

I hope to be able to contribute pages about many scientists in the coming years as there is really not great public resources for learning about any that are not famous in public media. I take the feedback very seriously, and I'm kind of at a loss what I could have done differently, except tried to find some dirt on the subject to include (?). I found the page deleted before I could click on anything. I believe this is some kind of misunderstanding... I would like to have the opportunity to contribute to Wiki with articles about living scientists. What can I do about this?

Sincerely, user: Powersmith98
