West Bengali Hindus

[edit]

the page has been moved from West bengali hindus to West Bengali Hindus because the words Bengali and Hindus should both begin with a capital letter. The content has not been deleted or lost. Enter CambridgeBayWeather, waits for audience applause, not a sausage 16:51, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on P.U Vaswani requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Speedy deletion tags

[edit]

Hi Pratikghosh, regarding these edits, you were not supposed to remove the speedy deletion tag, in fact you are not supposed to remove a speedy deletion tag from an article that you created (per the policy at WP:CSD). Also when you added the {{hangon}} tag, you added a tl| in front of the word hangon, and <code> around it, which was unnecessary. All you had to do was put {{hangon}} as you see it here on the page, when you add brackets like this, {{ }} it inserts a template, in this case the template is the hangon template, which tells administrators to read your justification on the articles talk page, before deciding to delete it or not. I fixed the templates on the article P.U Vaswani, so you can take a look at what I did with this edit. Hope this helps.--kelapstick (talk) 19:34, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Looking at the article, I have a feeling it will be deleted, regardless of what you do. Unless she has been written about, in detail, in a book, magazine, newspaper, she will not meet the criteria for inclusion for an article on Wikipedia. You should read WP:BIO, WP:N and WP:RS, those guidelines explain things pretty well.--kelapstick (talk) 19:45, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Also don't forget to sign your posts, see the note below for an explanation...--kelapstick (talk) 19:45, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Also the article is copyright violation of this.--kelapstick (talk) 19:49, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 19:35, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

P.U Vaswani

[edit]

I notice that the article has been deleted four times by four different people. One one occasion it appears to have been directly copied from another site which violates copyright. You can't post material that you found on the web it has to be in your own words. Also you have to show how she is notable. Has she been written up in newspapers or magazines somewhere. something lame from CBW 23:23, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
