please stop bot from editing Carpenter bee

[edit]

Hi. Could you please prevent the bot from trying to put the "it:Xylocopa violacea" link in the Carpenter bee article? In the English Wikipedia, Xylocopa violacea is a separate article. Thanks, Dyanega (talk) 07:21, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Who's ever played Eduard Friedrich Mörike's opera "Eduard auf dem Seil" ?

[edit]

Hi, I'm looking for Eduard Friedrich Mörike's opera "Eduard auf dem Seil" (according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silpelit), but I can find any information, who ever has played it. If do you know any link to the information about performance this opera please drop me an e-mail at fazoo@o2.pl, because it seems till now, that nobody's played it ever. It's really important for me so I'd be thankful for any information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.9.92.72 (talk) 06:28, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Double Leaf Society

[edit]

Please stop the bot from adding the interwiki link ja:双葉会 to the article Double Leaf Society. The English language wikipedia article is about a pre-war ultranationalist society within the Japanese military. The Japanese link is to a post-war gangster organization based in Fukuoka with the same name, but with no relationship to the above. I have repeated had to revert this with other bots in the past. --MChew (talk) 14:31, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop the bot from adding the interwiki links to the wrong article. There are two pages: Goyescas and Goyescas (opera). --Kleinzach 00:05, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Stop editing Horna

[edit]

The bot is adding a link to the town of Horna to the Horna article. Horna is a black metal band, not a city. At least, it's a band on the english wikipedia. Undead Warrior (talk) 15:56, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Idrieus

[edit]

Veuillez, je vous en conjure, fournir à votre robot le minimum d’octets nécessaires et de neurones interconnectés afin qu’il ne vandalisât plus la page Idrieus. Merci de votre prompte compréhension, de votre diligence et de votre obligeance.

Please stop bot from editing Blåvandshuk

[edit]

The article has been edited such that its primary subject is geographical feature that the former municipality was named for, not about the municipality itself. Therefore it is inappropriate to interwiki it to articles that have the municipality as their title. –Henning Makholm (talk) 22:19, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Per this diff, bot recently placed an incorrect cross wiki link to es:Metra. While my Spanish language skills are not developed enough to determine the subject of the links target article, I was able to tell that this article was NOT about the Chicago area rail transportation system. List of Latin digraphs‎

[edit]

Boy, all you get is complaints, no thanks for the work you do. Ah well, here's another complaint. (Sorry!)

Please don't link to List of Latin digraphs‎. It is a consolidation of a hundred stubs, many of which had variants in other WPs which for some reason now link to this article they were merged into. kwami (talk) 07:37, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Stop adding inappropriate links, please. kwami (talk) 22:16, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

French name of EITI

[edit]

The correct name of the EITI in French is L'Initiative pour la Transparence, see the EITI website. Your bot changed it too the French name of Publish What you Pay, which is another organisation. Tunold (talk) 12:18, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sania is actually Thania in its original Arabic form of girl's name. In Persian and Urdu, the Arabic alphabet ث (th) is pronounced as 's'. So I have substituted the correct spelling in Urdu and Persian as it is commonly used in Pakistan and other Muslim countries. Paknur (talk) 14:03, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Communion (Eucharist) and Communion (Christian)

You have wrongly linked this French article with this English article instead of with this other English article. The error in the English Wikipedia was introduced with this change. Lima (talk) 11:35, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Genesys Conferencing

Bot is incorrectly language linking to a Japanese article "Genesys" which is about another company. I have edited several times but the bot is always back ..... --Enricokamasa (talk) 13:33, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This bot keeps linking sl:Gwyn to the English page for Gwyn Nicholls. This is incorrect. Thanks FruitMonkey (talk) 18:25, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your bot is linking the decades 2080s and 2060s to various years in fr: and eo: Wikipedias. This isn't correct, but I don't know if the error is in your bot or in the fr: and eo: articles. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 06:38, 31 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Volleyball players

[edit]

I have seen that you edited some volleyball articles. Some players articles, most of them looks outdated. I would like to improve players by country. Could you please choose a country to contribute with? Please take a look on Yekaterina Gamova, Hélia Souza, Serena Ortolani and Kenia Carcaces for a model to follow. Please can you please improve some volleyball players with infobox and some addons? References are very important. Let me know. Oscar987 22:42, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

Both Ptbotgourou and User:MystBot repeatedly add fr:Mega Mix to this article even though it has nothing in common with [fr:Mega Mix]. Infact the original article about the Milli Vanilli song was deleted as unencyclopaedic. memphisto 15:05, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, fr:Correspondance (transports) is a transfer from one vehicle to another. en:Transit pass and de:Zeitkarte, in contrast, describe tickets that are valid for some period of time. Please stop linking between these unrelated articles. Thanks, --EnOreg (talk) 10:11, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, for your information Ptbotgourou is a BOT, so he couldn't respond you. For the issue your point to it (the bot), yhe unique solution is to found on which wiki the mistake exist : all languages on which we have fr:Correspondance (transports) en:Transit pass,de:Zeitkarte. Then to modify all wiki yourself to have a correct situation. After you hope that nobody do the error again. Sorry, it's the unique solution I know --GdGourou - °o° - Talk to me 11:16, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Gdgourou, as I don't speak Japanese I've had to remove all links between ja:のりかえ券 and the other articles in question.
I don't think it is the purpose of your bot to have fewer interwiki links because of it. You may want to add a feature to shield a list of problematic articles from the bot's actions.
Thanks, --EnOreg (talk) 12:35, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
(Copied here from EnOreg's talk page:)
I think it's easier that you and me learn japanese that try to add a "shield" on an interwiki bot. The bot couldn't understood that he is making a mistake. One solution could be checlking the history (of each article) if this link have been remove earlier but interwiki bot would overload the cache server with this type of frequent request also with a very few gain. A lot of false positive could be found. The earlier removing could be a vandalism or a renaming... so it's very hard to developp a shield. --GdGourou - °o° - Talk to me 08:34, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I don't think I was clear enough. What I'm asking for is a black list of articles the bot is not supposed to touch. Quite a number of people have reported articles on this page where your bot makes mistakes. You could simply enter these articles in a black list and tell the bot to leave these articles alone. That's all. Seems much easier than for the two of us to learn Japanese. ;-) Cheers, --EnOreg (talk) 12:31, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, please could you stop the bot from adding international wikilinks to Hobby horse? They should link to the new Hobby horse (toy), not this folklore-related page. Thanks SiGarb | (Talk) 18:36, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
