The Building Information Modeling Page needs work

[edit]

I'm going to work on making a Zahner page

[edit]

Because they do all these amazing projects and get no cred on wikipedia.

Orphaned non-free media (File:Zahner_logo.svg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Zahner_logo.svg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 04:35, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the info

[edit]

Thanks for the info - I hope to have a basic page up for Zahner before that 7-day delete deadline. I'm working on the page here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Texjer/Zahner -- it just looked better with the logo on it, so I went ahead and uploaded the svg.

I have nominated L. William Zahner III, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/L. William Zahner III. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. RA (talk) 18:26, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Texjer, it's solely a matter of reliable sources to establish that the subject is notable per Wikipedia:Notability (people). If you can establish that then the article will probably not be deleted. --RA (talk) 18:49, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Texjer, I've withdrawn the deletion nomination. If the subject is more usually known without the "III", can you move the article to that place. Also, what does the "L" stand for? Is the subjects name simply William Zahner? If so that is probably a better name with redirects from elsewhere.
Best of luck with the article. Regards, --RA (talk) 19:20, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the help and advice, --Tex Texjer (talk) 20:10, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ricardo Regazzoni requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Theroadislong (talk) 20:59, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Also please note that expertise in art, which in fact I do possess in significant degree, is not a pre-requisite for undertaking admin activity on art-related topics. As, however, it appears that you are in breach of wikipedia policy by posting as an article a word-for-word copy-violation lifted from Amazon the question is moot. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 16:36, 1 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please sign your posts on talk pages using ~~~~; it makes communication much easier. If your article was/is incomplete I am happy to restore it; in my opinion the text as initially posted does not infer wikipedic notability, but if you can improve the article to do so then neither I nor you have a problem. Your article is restored, but will vanish unless notability can be shown. If you need time to create an article, may I suggest that you either create it it a {{subpage}} or in sandbox, or at the top of your article place the tag {{underconstruction}}.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 21:31, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
