Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

License tagging for File:P-47D-40-RA 3D line drawing.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:P-47D-40-RA 3D line drawing.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:30, 14 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have the copyright for that image and have no clue how to find the license status from the Russian website I got it from. I'll create a new image. Puff41 (talk) 19:40, 14 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You can't just edit an existing copyrighted line drawing and upload it as your own work. This is clearly not your own work, as anyone experienced enough to create such a line drawing would not add such a sloppy white outline around their drawing, nor would they save the file as a GIF. If you want to upload a copyrighted image, you must get permission from the owner first. - ZLEA T\C 23:45, 14 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
