http://comm.colorado.edu/~jacksonj/research/coon.pdf There look at my talk page Ryantheravensfan1. It is proof the discussion and citing of the mans work was a fraud. If you try to make this bullshit again I am reporting you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryantheravensfan1 (talkcontribs) 12:04, 19 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I do think we might usefully have a look at this once Mr Angry is blocked for 3RR; I have a report in at WP:ANEW. Pinkbeast (talk) 12:13, 19 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Riffian people

[edit]

Please explain your concerns and edits at talk:Riffian people. I protected the page due to the edit warring and the absence of any discussion on article talk. Vsmith (talk) 20:59, 19 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wikidata doesn't like redirect-pages, even though they often are necessary to link since different languages divide topics in different manners. Hence a temp-page is needed and proper links must be made before doing the actual redirect. BP OMowe (talk) 20:54, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@BP OMowe: Ay, thanks for the info. When looking at a page that just says "temp," I automatically assume that it's an unnecessary page that needs to be deleted. Maybe there should be a template for this kind of scenario, to avoid confusion? Pyrotle {T/C} 21:03, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
There is/was such a template, used for this and to avoid editing conflicts, but it fell out of favour since some editors planted it and then forgot all about it thus keeping the page locked for days. Main issue as I see it is that wikidata refuses links to redirection pages, which really complicate things. BP OMowe (talk) 21:11, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@BP OMowe: I see. Would there be any chance of reviving the template, depending on how long ago it was discontinued? Pyrotle {T/C} 21:16, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I do not know, this was least two-three years ago, and I'm not that familiar with the whole template thing. Just happened to stumble over it and got caught up in the debate around that particular one. What I can do personally is to be more specific "Temp, wikidata-links getting fixed" or the like. BP OMowe (talk) 21:26, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@BP OMowe: A reword of the template might be acceptable today. If we were to revive the template, either you or I should create a new, reworded template, or either of us can bring forth the idea of reviving the template to the Village Pump or something. Also, do you know the exact original template (at least a link to it)? Pyrotle {T/C} 21:31, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Feel free if you find it useful. Alas, I don't recall the name at all... might have been {{[[Template:{{{1}}}|{{{1}}}]]}}, edit or something similar. BP OMowe (talk) 21:43, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@BP OMowe: I unfortunately cannot find the original template. As I can not do that, nor do I really know how I would really word it, I can't go forward with requesting revival. Well, have a good rest of the day. Pyrotle {T/C} 22:01, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please see this RM discussion. There is explicitly no consensus for a mass move to a lowercase "station". The issue is also being discussed at the Administrators' Incidents Noticeboard and WT:USSTATION. Epic Genius (talk) 20:17, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
