Welcome![edit]

Hello, Pzappia, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to Stonewall riots does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Questions page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

With this edit, I explained reverting you. I stated: The sections are mainly about homosexuality or gay men and lesbians; so changing the wording to "LGBTQ+" as if it's a synonym is a no. Yes, "gay" was often used to refer to the LGBT community as a whole, but these sources, for example, Deitcher, p. 74, are mainly focused on gay men and lesbians. See WP:STICKTOTHESOURCE.

I did go ahead and use "gay men" instead "gays." And "gay men and lesbians" or "homosexual people" instead of "homosexuals" for the spots I spotted. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 07:25, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

And given how broad "LGBT" can be these days (for example, sometimes including asexual people), it's best to state "gay men and lesbians" when the sources use that wording or similar. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 07:27, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
