Disputed non-free use rationale for File:RaptorJesus.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:RaptorJesus.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Suttna08 (talk) 03:36, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Sorry about this. I see you are actually NOT the uploader of this image. I thought you were because you are the only one using it on Wikipedia. However, it is up for deletion. Suttna08 (talk) 04:04, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Nevermind. This image is in Wikimedia Commons and has to be deleted there, not here. I don't feel like making an account over there so the image will remain, at least for now. Suttna08 (talk) 17:15, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Just of curiosity, this image has been spread all over the Internet, I'd say it's origin is impossible to determine. Does a lack of knowledge about the copyright status mean that we assume it's copyrighted? Qc (talk) 17:32, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think that's how it works. It would be difficult to figure out exactly where it came from. So, if the origin isn't known, it is just assumed to be copyrighted, just to be on the safe side. Suttna08 (talk) 06:38, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
