Help

[edit]

Hi Xcalizorz, could you please see if this article is ok to be released as main page article?

It Is not complete yet but i think people have to know what P4 medicine is before its too late? Or i should complete it and then release it so people can have a good idea of what exactly it is? Please guide me Regards Quantumash (talk) 17:12, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, please may I see the link to the page you are reffering to? I also notice that you are directing this question to Xcalizorz. If you'd rather him see it, it'd be best to put it on his talk page, so he knows you're asking him a question. However, I may also be able to help. What is the article you're reffering to? --Imagine Wizard (talk contribs count) Iway amway Imagineway Izardway. 17:21, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

here is the article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Quantumash I referred to him because he was the first to reply to my question. I am new to Wikipedia and do not know much about it. Anyone is welcome I just want some editors to see if it is ok. Regards Quantumash (talk) 17:30, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}}there is some problem with my internet speed. Its not possible for me to get to this channel now. I'm sorry Quantumash (talk) 17:44, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It looks fine. Be bold and go ahead and post it on. I suspect it may be a stub (a small article) however, people may soon add content. I just want to format it a bit, and then I'll give you the go-ahead to post it. --Imagine Wizard (talk contribs count) Iway amway Imagineway Izardway. 17:46, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, that doesn't matter. That' just part of the template. --Imagine Wizard (talk contribs count) Iway amway Imagineway Izardway. 17:46, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot Quantumash (talk) 17:53, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Imaginewizard It looks great now, i didn't know i had five references. I'll remember to make references of external links. Thanks for the improvements Deep regards Quantumash (talk) 18:02, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There, you can now create the article. If someone else's thinks that they may be a problem, they will contact you on your User page. In the future Be bold and just create the article. If it's not appropiate, someone will help you correct it. Or, you can post the article here. Someone is more likely to review it there.
Actually give me a sec, I want to check your sources. Just to make sure they're secondary, or else they will be a notablilty issue --Imagine Wizard (talk contribs count) Iway amway Imagineway Izardway. 18:04, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I'd say it's ok. However apparently it's already been deleted. I'm just going to go check why.--Imagine Wizard (talk contribs count) Iway amway Imagineway Izardway. 18:11, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Repost of P4 medicine

[edit]

A tag has been placed on P4 medicine requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article and put a note on the page's discussion page saying why this article should stay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 18:07, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Its been two years since this CDS:G4 article under the same name was deleted (in may 2008). Could you please consider following for the article I wrote on the topic, I am not the person who wrote it first time and i am writing it because there are so many medical articles referring to this term in Pubmed and good medical journals and even on Centres of Disease Control (CDC). This term needs to be made public now so people can know what it is and if it still doesn't fulfil the criteria to be in Wikipedia, i hope you could guide me as to whether i should create this article in any Wikipedia sister projects like Wikiversity etc. That will be a great help.

The first phase of P4 medicine widely known as the bench to bedside research has been encouraged by National Institute of Health (NIH). Even President OF U.S. Barak Obama has moved the Bill in 2006. and it is not alternative medicine as there already exists a page in Wikidocs with the heading Personalised medicine[1] As this term has been in use since 2006 it is older than two years.[2] [3] It does not violate the rule A7 and A9 of Notability. Comments and reasons against are more than welcome. Looking forward for reply

Quantumash (talk) 01:32, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have to admit that the number of Google hits for "P4 medicine" does appear to have increased from the "75 to 150" quoted in the AfD discussion of 2008 May. We already have extensive articles about each of the four Ps: predictive, personalised, preventive and participatory medicine. So all we would need on the P4 medicine title is a short article defining the term and giving its origin. Any references in that article are only needed to establish that the term P4 medicine has come into widespread usage. Thus, of the six external links you give above, only the last two are of any use since the others do not use the term P4 at all.
I repeat my recommendation: create a draft article in user:Quantumash/sandbox and raise the matter at deletion review. Or you could possibly contact people who have contributed to the existing articles on each of the four Ps and ask their opinion. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:07, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot for your guidance RHaworth, I'll do as you say. Quantumash (talk) 20:16, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Help uploading a picture

[edit]

I copied this over from User_talk:Quantumash/Sandbox - please use helpme on your user talk page; it is easier to respond here.  Chzz  ►  08:10, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Wikipedia Helpers I need to attach a small image showing the concept map of the topic here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Quantumash/Sandbox . I made the image myself so there will be no copyright issue (its lying in one of my drives). How do i do it?

Quantumash (talk) 07:49, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Start at Wikipedia:Upload. 69.181.249.92 (talk) 07:52, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
(Thought you might use a bit more detail) There is some fairly straightforward advice at Help:Files. The process is:
  1. upload from your local drive to Commons
  2. fill out the form to confirm copyright, source, description
  3. start using it in Wikipedia articles (Help:Image)
(talk) 08:00, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
As Fæ wrote above, better, start with Commons:Upload - all 'free' pictures should be uploaded to the Commons wiki, so that they can be used by all sister wikis (other language Wikipedias, and Wikinews, wikibooks, whatever). Files uploaded to English Wikipedia itself will just need moving over, so best to upload it there straight away.
You'd click on 'It is entirely my own work', and then fill things in; try to fill in all the boxes, and read the little notes at the side of them. See Commons:First steps/Upload form.
If you have trouble, please use another {{helpme}}|helpme...but please use it here, on your user talk page.
You can also Talk to helpers live, with this - please call in and say hello.  Chzz  ►  08:10, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot. I'll try it now Quantumash (talk) 08:31, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

We are always looking for more help with the dermatology task force, particularly with the ongoing Bolognia push in which we are making sure Wikipedia has an article on every cutaneous condition. With that being said, I wanted to know if you would be willing to help with the Bolognia push? I can e-mail you the login information if you like? ---My Core Competency is Competency (talk) 23:09, 14 January 2011 (UTC) Of course Quantumash (talk) 16:36, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
