avoiding duplications in the reference list

Thanks for editing FOXP2! It definitely still needed work.

Yeah, the duplicate references bothered me too, and it wasn't until later that I figured out how to get rid of them, but I never got around to it. I think when you reference an article for the first time, use:

<ref name="pmid15983371">{{cite journal | author = ....... }}</ref>

Any name can be given, but the pmid is convenient (and is given by the nice tool at http://diberri.dyndns.org/wikipedia/templates/?type=pmid when you use the "Pad parameter names and values" option). After that, if you reference the same article again, I think you only have to use

<ref name="pmid15983371" />
