I'll grant you the capitalisation, but "entremet" is just wrong: Gage, Oxford, AH, Robert, Larousse, all have "entremets". Awien (talk) 01:41, 31 October 2018 (UTC)

@Awien: Oh, I know it's probably spelled wrong but that is the spelling used. But that's an issue on the show's side and, at least in my opinion, Wikipedia should be reflecting the show's information rather than try to correct it. RA0808 ^talk_contribs 13:17, 1 November 2018 (UTC)

Now they've done the same thing with mille crêpe(s). But as for entremets, I think five major dictionaries should prevail over the CBC's typist or intern. We shouldn't be perpetuating actual errors. @Awien: This same spelling of "entremet" vs "entremets" appeared in The Great British Bake Off (series 5) and Top Chef: Just Desserts (season 2). A search shows that multiple (albeit non-dictionary) English-language sources use that spelling as well, since it's a back-formation from entremets. However, to be quite honest the use of an apparently unofficial back-formation isn't exactly a hill I'm willing to die on so I won't object to adding the S back. @RA0808: Yup, it's all over the internet - along with the correct form too, be it said. But off I go to put my finger in the dike anyway.

Btw, do you know that the French get a snarky good laugh at the combination of pretentiousness and misuse in the way Anglophone countries use French on menus and in cook[ery] books? Kind of embarrassing.

Hello, RA0808. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
