Hello RA, Thank you for your message. The Niagara Falls Bridge Commission endeavors to ensure that its corporate information is correctly reflected on the Wikipedia page. If you view any of the press releases on the NFBC's webpage - www.niagarafallsbridges.com - you will note that they all conclude with the description of the Commission as legally mandated. This is the same information that continues to be re-inserted on the Wikipedia page. I hope that this clarifies why the NFBC continues to monitor and update the Wikipedia page with this information. - @3bridges: Hi and thanks for the message! I understand wanting to make the article the best that it can be, however the promotional blurb on the bottom of a press release is not a legally mandated description. Some of the content is also not necessarily accurate – for example, the NFBC is not "unique" as a bi-national body given that the Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority is right there along the Niagara as well. I have once again reverted the edit because it removed cited material and is not in keeping with encyclopedic tone. Please also be advised that subjects of a Wikipedia page do not own their articles and that copying material wholesale from another source, such as a press release, is not permitted under Wikipedia's copyright policy without explicit permission from the copyright holder to release it under Wikipedia's license.
- Additionally, since your message implies that your account is being used by one or more people employed by or representing the NFBC, you may wish to review Wikipedia's policy on disclosing paid contributions. This includes the requirements under the Terms of Use of the Wikimedia Foundation, Wikipedia's parent org, for all users to disclose paid contributions.
