Hey Raquel!

Your article so far is very informative and well written. I enjoyed the additional sections you have decided to add to your article and am interested in what left you have to bring to your article. Most of the article was good so I am being really "nit-picky" with my suggestions. Please take them with a grain of salt as your article is very good and my suggestions are only suggestions.

-you need more citations but you obviously know that based on the parts of the article that say [need citations].

-you talk a lot about what virginity means in relation to women, I am curious if you could mention something about what it means to men. I understand it probably has more of a cultural significance to keep virginity for women but I think a paragraph to explain maybe how men are expected to lose their virginity quickly or something to that effect so it is not so woman heavy.

-you make references to other cultures and nations a lot, I am wondering if you could specifically say which cultures or at least the general areas of where these beliefs are held.

-I am not sure of the significance of the **** around certain paragraphs. I am just curious if those are personal notes to yourself.

Overall, strong article with interesting additions. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the feedback! Just for future reference, the *** denotes what content I have added to a particular section. So, for example, I added content to both the sections on virginity within Islam and Ancient Greek and Roman belief systems. I also added the section on virginity as a social construct. In contrast, the section on the cultural value of virginity as well as the lead section are both areas which already existed but I have been tweaking and adding sources to (this article has a lot of unsourced claims). Which areas in particular did you feel needed more citations?

Within the actual article, there is a section on men's virginity but you're right, a lot of the page is very female-centric. Maybe I can find some sources to balance that out a bit!

All in all, many thanks! RCLU12 (talk) 20:44, 15 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hey girl!! The information you have added is pretty pristine! To agree with Danika it would be interesting if you looked more into the male aspect of virginity. You've cited all your sources very well though and I think that the contributions you have made to the article are beneficial and very well written.
