Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]

Hello, RabbitWolf. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Sasol, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your ex-employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 10bucchr (talk) 13:51, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warning - vandalism of the Sasol page[edit]

Hi @RabbitWolf

This is a warning to stop adding the entire charge sheet to the Sasol main page. Someone holds a grudge for being fired because of poor performance, I assume you are associated with him? Please don't help him destroy the only functional industry in the country.

If you feel like you must add something, make a new page - this is not at all relevant to the main page and constitutes vandalism.

Thank you! 10bucchr (talk) 13:27, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I will be reporting this to Wikipedia. Your above message has been screen grabbed. You are obviously biased and trying to present a false clean image on Sasol. It is probably because you work for or are instructed by Sasol. Your removal of pertinent and factual information about Sasol and it's current criminal case is not in the spirit of factual information on Wikipedia pages. The Sasol page must be correct and complete and factual. Wikipedia is a community shared information site and not the property of an authoritarian person who would hide facts regarding a company. You have been duly informed. RabbitWolf (talk) 14:06, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Sasol, you may be blocked from editing. Drmies (talk) 14:08, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I do have the official charge sheet in my possession. And I do know this case inside and out as I am the one who built this case. Is Wikipedia a page with facts or information edited by the entity (Sasol) as they see fit? It is a cold hard fact that Sasol has been criminally charged, and my edits are 100% factual. Looking forward to your response. RabbitWolf (talk) 14:19, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I see I have already been blocked from editing the Sasol page. I would like to report the user 10bucchr as a person who is employed by sasol to protect their Wiki page. I include their message to me : (This is a warning to stop adding the entire charge sheet to the Sasol main page. Protecting 10bucchr's edits and deleting my factual edits will ensure a commercial bias for the company Sasol to write it's own history.

Just Google "Sasol Vaal river pollution" and you will see that there are many news articles on this matter since 2019 already. But Sasol is trying to keep it's criminal charges quiet as it's bad for their image. But it is fact nonetheless. RabbitWolf (talk) 14:47, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Drmies, please could you have a look at the Sasol page? I have followed your advice and guidance regarding adding citations to all my edits. I have made various edits and I have added plenty of citations to each of my edits. There is this "10bucchr" user and "Lukewarm100" (ghost user, he deleted my edits then disapeared) who keeps deleting my entire edit in order to keep Sasol's page promotional to the company instead of having the article/page reflect the true picture of the company and it's dealings. I believe that Wikipedia is a true refection of cited facts, and not a page in order for a company to promote itself. I am of the belief that "10bucchr" is directly affiliated with Sasol as a company as his actions are clearly to protect Sasol's image, instead of tolerating heavily cited edits of Sasol's pollution. Could you please assist? RabbitWolf (talk) 16:16, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You are not blocked from anything. I do not want to see a "charge sheet". If you want content in a Wikipedia article to stick, please cite secondary sources. Drmies (talk) 16:52, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.
I will start small then.
I have a lot of photos, which I took myself of course, which will show how it really looks because of this factory.
Otherwise I will just create my own sasol page regarding it's pollution specifically. RabbitWolf (talk) 17:37, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
