New article[edit]

I have taken the opportunity to review and clean up your new article. I would ask you to review the changes and address some of the issues that I have found. Specifically, your article claims that Humphrey was awarded the "Book of the Year Award" by ForeWord Magazine for his The Mendelian Threshold, but I can find no evidence at ForeWord's website. If you can provide a citation for this fact, it would be very helpful, because other than that award, I find no evidence that Mr. Humphrey meets the criteria of notability required for inclusion in Wikipedia. If this fact cannot be verified, the article may be deleted. I have also removed the notes about Mr. Humphrey having "co-written three screenplays and one stage play based on his own works" as there is not sufficient detail in that fact to verify it or not. If the scripts have been produced into films or stage productions, references to those works should be given. If the scripts are sitting on his desk waiting for a buyer, they are not really relevant to the article. Please address these issues if you can. Notice

The article Robert Humphrey (author) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This is the sole source, and it's not a critical review so much as a listing. A BEFORE shows no indication of coverage of his work as an author or businessman.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. StarM 17:07, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
