Welcome![edit]

Hello, Rachelmuha, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Original research and essays[edit]

Hi, I was looking over the content that you added to mass surveillance and I'm concerned that some of the material came across as original research and a persuasive essay. With Wikipedia we can only summarize what has already been stated in reliable sources. The content shouldn't be written to persuade or convince the reader, nor can we really pose questions in the content. I've edited down some of the material, so make sure that you're careful about this! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:19, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
