Your work on the article Determinism and Randomness for a lay man is really valuable, and I just wanted to thank you. I am not sure, however, that the article will be tolerated as a part of Wikipedia - which is an encyclopedia, after all... and encyclopedias typically do not have articles entitled "X for the lay man." Nonetheless, because I value the article so much, I am going to let other editors worry about that sort of thing. Cheers, and I hope you enjoy your time at Wikipedia. Let me know if I can help you out by leaving a message on my talk page. Dave Runger(t)(c) 22:09, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good work figuring out how to do the rename/redirect. SOrry I wasn't able to get your message in time to help, but my computer access has been very limited these days.
"'Any suggestions on how to make the page more accessible?'"
I am not sure whether you are asking how to make it easier for a Wikipedia user to get to the article, or how to make the article easier for the average reader to understand. Both are good goals. As for the first, the more links you have to the Determinism and Randomness article, the more users will read the article. As for the second goal, I think you have already done a very nice job giving a clear and concise description of randomness, determinism, and the implications of determinism. Thanks again for a job well done. (Oh, also, you will want to sign your comments on article's'/user's talk pages in the future by typing four tildes (~) after your comment. This will automatically be converted into a signature with your name and the date and time.)
For example, if I type this:
~~~~
it will come out like this:
Determinism and Randomness[edit]
Good job coming up with references for the Determinism and Randomness article. If you feel that the content would fit in well at Causal Determinism, then feel free to merge your content over to it. You may also want to mention on that article's talk page that you are doing so. Then, when you have the time, you might also want to cite the content "inline" - in other words in addition to having a list of references at the end, add citations within the various passages of text that come from those references. WP:CITE has instructions for doing so. This adds more weight to each such cited passage and will make it much less likely to be removed.
Let me know if you need any further help with this! --AbsolutDan (talk) 01:00, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This article was recently nominated for deletion. The decision was to delete the article, but as a result of a suggestion in the debate I have userfied the article to User:Raghavb/Determinism and Randomness. --bainer (talk) 15:05, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No problem! --AbsolutDan (talk) 12:17, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
