Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Raj Bipin Bhatt. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article PromptCloud, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Lemongirl942 (talk) 05:07, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Thank you for letting me know about the details. I will go through the entire doc :) Raj Bipin Bhatt (talk) 07:22, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hi, I think I have been banned for wrong reason. I do not think I fall under sockpuppet category. Moreover, I have no relations with the user jacob, so I would like you to reconsider the ban on me. Thank you.

Decline reason:

The technical evidence indicates otherwise, so you would need to explain how the two accounts appear to be operated by the same person. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 07:59, 6 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Boing! said Zebedee - As you know, I am new to wikipedia, and would need sometime to find credible evidence. But I gaurantee, that this is my account and not related to any other person. I am sure, while signingup on wikipedia, it asks for email id and verifies it. You can clearly see that my email id would be unique & has no relation what so ever with the other account. Also, just because I was supporting the page to stay, doesn't mean that I am related to other editors who are doing the same. Also the reason for my block says my behaviour is same as jacbo, which I don't find true. The behaviour is nowhere close to him, you can clearly check the deletion page. It also states, defending yourself against clamins, I agree to doing this, because I was not aware that on Wikipedia, you cannot respond to claims made on you. Claims like COI. The reason I had to respond is because some of the editors were aggresively calling me COI, which after a point becomes to harsh. Hence you see the reaction to those claims. Also, I think I hardly made edits & replied to other editors (3 times i think), and you can see the behaviour of jacob towards it. Please take time to monitor all these aspects. I clearly do not wish to be blocked becuase some one feels I am not legit.

Decline reason:

The technical evidence here is overwhelming; this account and User:Jacobkoshy333 are operated by the same person, and that person used multiple accounts to attempt to feign consensus at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PromptCloud. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 14:13, 6 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • It's easy to use different email addresses for different accounts, so that means nothing. The technical evidence comes from your actual connection when you made your edits, so you still need to explain how it can appear that you were both editing from the same place at the same time. Boing! said Zebedee - I see, if my reponses are looking to come on same time as his, then it is because he was repsonding 24x7. It will be matched irrespective of my time of replying. Also, I will try to find some technical evidence. Raj Bipin Bhatt (talk) 09:37, 6 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
