[edit]

Please do not edit articles according to your own POV by adding false arguments and incorrect information, as you did to Playback singer. You reverted a well-sourced expansion to your own version, removing sourced and correct information. This is considered vandalism. Please read WP:POV, WP:OR, WP:EW and WP:3RR. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thanks, ShahidTalk2me 13:10, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dear friend You may be more experience in Wikipedia, As a Wikipedia editor if you add such false contents and remove the original one is not good thing. You please go to the discussion board. There I added things http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Playback_singer Thanks User talk: Rakozhi123

Please reach consensus before removing well sourced and edited information. Another revert from you, and you will be well BLOCKED from editing Wikipedia in accordance with WP:3RR. I see you a fan of Yesudas, and I'm a fan as well, it does not mean you can add his name among the most recognised music directors when he is actually best known as a singer. ShahidTalk2me 15:41, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The same thing I want to request you that please read the references given by me. I didn't remove the name of Lata Mangeshkar.

Thanks User talk: Rakozhi123

Hi Shahid,

I read in administrators notice board that , few days back you edited some contents. And I work as a fan of some singers. Actually you removed some content and you added false information about Mohamed Rafi. And You added some fancy words about Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle. I understood that You are the fan of Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bosle. See the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Shshshsh#Music

One thing I have no experience in Wikipedia, So you can warn or notice administrators as like you are a good Wikipedia editor. And you can say you are doing true and i am doing false. But Once I get experience I have only time to correct the article which you created or which you edited. I understood that You have lot of time to spend in Wikipedia. I Request you please don't behave as like this.

No one asks you what you accept or not. You make me laugh because I was actually the one who added and edited the article of Lata Mangeshkar and added the Rediff link. And it only shows that I am not biased. The Rediff link was important to this article. And so what? The same can be said about anyting in the world. Sources always question different claims. Rediff, which cannot really be a rival to THE GUINNESS BOOK, just questions the veracity of the Guinness claim, which has not been widely accpted by anyone. It is just that on Wikipedia we have to show all sides possible. But it means nothing really. My preference is none of your business.
And The Hindu is the only source stating Balasubramaniam has a Guinness record except for his fansite. The book actually never published his name when it actually did publish Mangeshkar's and Rafi's. Since 1991, this record has not been mentioned in the book. No edition has mentioned him. While he is cited as having over 30,000 on The Hindu, Rafi is cited as having 40,000 on TOI and Mangeshkar, over 50,000 elsewhere.
As for your claim that you will get experience and do what you understand - I'll be happy to see this day. Becuase when get your experience, you certainly won't revert articles so brutally in a way that is more vandalism than contribution ShahidTalk2me 19:48, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't remove links to other Wikipedia's articles, like teh kannada link you removed YellowMonkey (cricket photo poll!) paid editing=POV 01:34, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop

[edit]

Get you idol SPB. It is mentioned on the page for now. Mangeshkar's and Rafi's names were NOT removed from the book. The Guinness book stopped mentioning this feat completely so don't speculate. As for the 1999 edition, he did not appear in it from what I see, you're not dealing with fools. Could you please cite a source that he appeared in any particular edition or a quote from the book and the number of edition? I give you time to cite sources on the article talk page. If it's correct, I salute it. I salute the truth. But The Hindu in 2006 reported that SPB's fans only began trying to contact the Guinness editors.

The popularity and success of Asha and Lata is not limited to fans of Hindi cinema (and even then - Hindi cinema is the largest, most popular industry of India and is much more internationally recognised). And there are many sources for that! You are talking about the most veteran singers in the country. Even Yesudas and Chithra have been their fans.

Don't remove sourced facts just because they are not part of your POV. This is considered vandalism. If you think it should be removed you should FIRST discuss AND reach consensus and then only edit.

If you remove sourced information again, you will be BLOCKED from editing Wikipedia.

Playback singing is not about playback singing of hindi film industry. If you wish to add like sisters Latamangeshkar and Asha Bhosle , you need to create new article of Bollywood Playback singing. And Definitely lot of other singers are more popular than Asha Bhosle. You are the fan of both Asha and Lata. we can see that by this user page link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Shshshsh#Music So it is not acceptable here. In Bollywood industry Kishore kumar and rafi saheb are more popular than her. So it is not accepted. And same time you added Sunidhi Chowhan ? Who is she ? how many song she sang? how she became popular ? I say please avoid singers name who doesn't sang minimum 1000 songs. In India we have lot of singers.

And you say i will be blocked if I edit it. I say Wikipedia is a database of knowledge and it is not the advertisement of Asha Bhosle and Lata Mangeshkar.

To create an article about Bollywood playback singing? So go and create an article about the South film industry, because Hindi cinema is the largest and most influential branch of Indian cinema. Everything is properly sourced. I said you would be blocked not if you edit, but if you keep edit warring and removing sourced information without reaching consensus. I'm a fan of Lata and Asha, yes. And I'm a fan of Shabana Azmi and Meryl Streep and many others - it never made my edits biased. I add only sourced facts, not POV like you. I cited many sourced for the fact that the two sisters are not only popular in Bollywood, but in India. They are idolised b other singers, by musicians, by books and fans, and they are the most veteran singers in India. And they are the most appreciated Indian playback singers in the world. So you have it. As for Asha, don't make me laugh - when a song like the one dedicated to her (Brimful of Asha) will be made on Chithra, we'll talk. Here you have a source showing her talent not only in Hindi cinema, but India as a whole.
I cite sources for what I say. ShahidTalk2me 14:40, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Shahid,

I said that if you want to describe more about sisters Asha and Lata you just create an article and don't use the article playback singer. It is not a media to advertise them. I don't want to advertise any singer there.

please check this http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/ef/Indianfilms_bylanguage.PNG And know that 60% of Indian film industry are from South India.

  • In south region lot of popular singers
  • 1) P Susheela
  • 2) S Janaki
  • 3) Vani Jayaram
  • 4) K S Chithra

If consider the talent of above singers, Lata and Asha are nothing. I don't want to add about them on there. They sang very very countable songs in south Indian languages with more mistakes. Only Sadhana sargam sings well comparing to other singers from North region. She is more popular than Asha and Lata in the case of playback singing in entire language.

Because of you are a big fan of Lata and Asha, I cannot change your mind.

rakozhi

Seriously Rakozhi, I'm from the UK and Bhosle and Lata are by the most famous Indian singers, especially Bhosle. Did you know Cornershop are known to be good friends with Shahid which is why they made Bhosle the subject of Brimful of Asha? Haha, Nobody I know has ever heard of

  1. ) P Susheela
  2. 2) S Janaki
  3. 3) Vani Jayaram
  4. 4) K S Chithra

Alright I'll be honest with you, I am Tjinder Singh. My sole purpose in life is to promote Bhosle and Lata and their greatness worldwide at the expense of unheard of internationally south Indian Tamil and Telugu playback singers. Dr. Blofeld White cat 12:05, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dear North Indian UK friend,

Actually I don't have time to talk with you and Shahid, that is why I stopped my work in wiki. But I say you that.

In South India there 4 main languages,Tamil,Telugu,Malayalam and Kannada.Just for your more information. I am not wondering about your promotion work on Lata and Asha. Because you are promoting yourself.

What ever be, You can continue your promotion work in wikipedia, I won't disturb you.

Bye

You only add a graph of the 1990s which is nothing. And who made this graph? And who cares who works where? Hindi cinema is the most popular of all the Indian film industries. Lata and Asha have also worked many a time in the South, and your opinion that they did not do well there is again your POV. I'm not a big fan - I'm adding facts, which are very very properly sourced. Lata and Asha are much more veteran, prolific and respected than the singers you have mentioned, and it perfectly verified everywhere. All of what you say is nothing but your personal opinion. They are actually known to be the most veteran, prolific and respected singers of India in the world. See magazines like Billboard, see the encyclopedia of Indian film music.
"If consider the talent of above singers, Lata and Asha are nothing." - it's again your very strong POV, because they will never come close to the stature of Lata and Asha.
I add sources - perfect sources, and you just express your personal opinions and try to glorify your favourites at the expense of much more regarded artists, when actually most of the singers you mentioned were not even born when Lata and Asha started singing, and the number of films they have sung does even come close to the quarter of Lata and Asha's number of films. So please... If you don't respect Wikipedia, at least respect yourself. ShahidTalk2me 12:58, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
