Username violation[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Senvion int", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username, by completing this form, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Jytdog (talk) 21:17, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Help me![edit]

I like to update the article about Senvion. May I edit the article even if I am a communication specialist for Senvion or is this already seen as SPAM? I do understand that wikipedia does want any promotion / marketing. I like to stick on the facts like who is Senvion Management, what is Senvion revenue for 2017, where does Senvion operate globally. Can I quote the Senvion Website / Press Releases as source or is this also seen as SPAM? Do I need "external" sources? Would it be a better way to present all planned changes on the article on the Senvion Talk page first? Thx for your help. Ralf at Senvion (talk) 10:26, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The best way to proceed is the follow the advice regarding conflict of interest editing. Make edit requests on the talk page of the article in question. Another editor will then be able to incorporate the information in the article. Press releases from the organization are considered primary sources and can be used in only limited ways. Secondary sources, written by independent writers and published by organizations with a reputation for fact checking, are preferred. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 12:14, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
