Vandalism[edit]

Thank you for your work in reverting vandalism. This is an essential part of Wikipedia, as it affects the first impressions of many users. To help you better combat vandalism, there are a few guidelines you should be aware of. First, edits to the Sandbox which are not grossly inappropriate (copyright violations, gratuitous profanity, etc.) and which do not remove the header are not vandalism and do not need to be reverted.

Secondly, erasing warnings on your own talk page is generally a bad idea, as it can send the message (whether or not correct) that you are trying to cover up mistakes. If you want to keep your talk page clean, you can archive messages in a subpage.

For more information on dealing with vandalism, see RC Patrol. Again, thank you for performing this vital service to the community. Feezo (Talk) 01:39, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
