When is a Wikipedia project a WikiProject?

The term "WikiProject" is used for projects created for the purpose of managing a specific family of information within Wikipedia. For example, Wikipedia:WikiProject Economics organises articles related to Economics, including economic terms, theories, and economists.

A WikiProject is a resource to help coordinate and organize article writing. Its attached talk page is a convenient forum for those interested in a particular project. WikiProjects can also have associated Portals.

Some projects, like the Tip of the day project, coordinate internal Wikipedia processes rather than article content directly (though not all of these use the term "WikiProject").

September 2020[edit]

Hey! I’m Doggy54321. I see that you have made some requests to have the Ariana Grande page fully protected. I don’t know if you know this, but fully protected means only admins can edit the page. The two people who were edit warring have been blocked, one for 24h and one for a week. I don’t think such extreme measures need to be taken, as the vandal is blocked. Thanks! Doggy54321 (talk) 12:09, 4 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, yes I just wanted to make sure no one else vandalized the page, but if the 2 vandals have been blocked for now I guess it's fine Randomperson7893457 (talk) 13:06, 4 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ok thank you! If you could please withdraw your requests, that would be awesome! Thanks! Doggy54321 (talk) 13:08, 4 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I will regard this request as withdrawn unless I hear otherwise. Best! Andrewa (talk) 16:35, 4 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. BOVINEBOY2008 01:18, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. December 2020[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at List of Disney Channel original films. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Do not ignore sourced content – the sources used clearly show that that movie did not draw "8.1 million viewers" but considerably less than that. --IJBall (contribstalk) 16:55, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

March 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Hulatam. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Doja Cat, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Hulatam (talk) 18:18, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

per the criteria at Template:Infobox musical artist#associated_acts, the associated acts field is for professional relationships with other musicians or bands that are significant and notable to this artist's career. Then, it proceeds to give examples as to what is appropriate. One of the bullet points is Acts with which this act has collaborated on multiple occasions, or on an album, or toured with as a single collaboration act playing together. I think the thing that’s holding us all up is "multiple". According to Google dictionary, multiple means several, and several means "more than two but not many". Randomperson7893457 (talk) 18:23, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Therefore I don't see why Grande should be added or needs to be added Randomperson7893457 (talk) 18:24, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Randomperson7893457. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Raven-Symoné Filmography".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 17:31, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
