context[edit]

This is a very bad initial sentence for a Wikipedia article:

Hierarchical generalized linear models (HGLM) can be considered as an extension to generalized linear models.

It fails to tell the reader whether the article is about sociology, military strategy, fashion design, church heirarchies, finance, grammar, chemistry, biology, etc.

I changed it to this:

In statistics, hierarchical generalized linear models (HGLM) can be considered as an extension to generalized linear models.
