Gender-Neutral Language

[edit]

You're right about the generally poor grammar in dip. I'm not responsible for those errors. My sole contribution to the article (prior to the GNL debate) was to provide the correct plural for "latissimus dorsi."

WP:GNL specifically says "Examples of non-neutral language that can easily be avoided are: * male and female pronouns to refer to a generic person..." The use of the singular "they" is explicitly included in the list of ways non-neutral language can be avoided, though it does note that this use is disputed by grammarians. If you would like to rewrite the article to use plural "they" throughout, to achieve both gender neutrality and uncontroversial grammar, then go ahead.

Ryan Seacrest

[edit]

Do you know why DocSoc accused you of violating the WP:3RR rule in September with respect to Seacrest? See here (Horrible Sentence section). I don't see that you even came close, so I'm at a loss. You can respond here. Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 19:27, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please help defend our collective effort of including the obscene middle-finger incident in the Cheney Mason article? It should be maintained in the article for public interest, etc. Please see the Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard#Cheney Mason discussion page and include your thoughts in favor of having the content remain in the interests of the public, etc. Diligent007 (talk) 04:49, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
