[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. Your edits have been reverted or removed.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in you being blocked from editing.
Do not add large sections on extremely fringe theories to articles, as you have repeatedly done on Rus' people, Varangians and Rurik Dynasty. Your additions are in clear violation of WP:Fringe and have been reverted by both me and other editors. Thomas.W (talk) 11:55, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
- You were responded on talk, in regard to the articles about the Varangians, Rus' people and Rurikids. You refused to discuss the scientists and sources provided. Please do not resort to sockpuppet techniques, revert war or vandalism.
- Additionally, a map was shown to be an inaccurate version of a map compiled in 1905. You refused to discuss that matter on talk page. However, you still continue reverting to that inaccurate map (see the talk page).
- Information on a source link is outdated, but you still insist reverting to that source. The source page itself explains that the information on the page is outdated, to prevent the page from being used as a source any longer. This was explained to you on the talk page. You ignored the concern raised on this issue too. RasboKaren (talk) 12:32, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
Hello. There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Thomas.W (talk) 13:07, 21 November 2012 (UTC)

Unblock request
[edit]User comment: The apparently self-invented "Finno-Ugric theory" repeatedly posted by RasboKaren in Rus' people, Varangians and Rurik Dynasty is a load of unscientific garbage with no reliable scientific references (see Talk:Rus' people for a couple of examples, one of which [1] RasboKaren, posting as an IP, deleted in order to hide the truth from other readers...), and clearly WP:Fringe, which is why it has been removed by a number of different editors, me being one of them, so if those fringe theories are posted again they will be removed again for being WP:Fringe. And if RasboKaren is not willing to follow the rules (which judging by RasboKaren's motivation for an unblock he/she clearly is not) he/she will be warned/reported again if he/she continues to push his/her fringe theory. Request reason:
The assistance of administrators is requested, as I am unable to participate extensively in Wikipedia editing. Unblock me (although the block appears to end shortly anyway).
As I suspected, the Rus' people, Varangians and Rurik Dynasty articles appear to be a target of power editing by one editor or a small group of friends (possibly a group of students).
I have not tried "to evade block" set on Wednesday at 17:44 , by posting a comment to talk page from another IP address possible only seconds after at 17:45. I became aware of the block notice only last night, but I was too tired to comment (strangely, the next comment on that talk page was posted also exactly at 17:45 yesterday by the block requester Thomas.W).
Information deleted by "Thomas.W" represents a notable viewpoint shared over several centuries by a number of well known historians. It is essential that this school of thought is presented in the above-mentioned articles.
I explained my contribution Thomas.W (here, here and here).
In the reasoning why he kept deleting my contribution, Thomas.W claimed this:
"Southern and Central Sweden, up to far north of the Roslagen/Uppland area near Stockholm, has been inhabited by Scandinavians, i e Germanic people, since prehistoric times. The Sami people, the only Finno-Ugric people that has inhabited parts of the Scandinavian Peninsula, have never lived even anywhere near the Uppland area, but much further to the north.'"'
However, the legally recognized Finnic Meänkieli minority language of Sweden, still spoken in Northern Sweden today, is a relic of the ancient past. There is much academic evidence of the Finnic language zone having located much further south still relatively recently. I wrote on talk pages that ...
"It is widely accepted knowledge that still as late as in the end of the Middle Ages, Skellefteå - formerly Finnish "Heletti" - formed the border of the Finnish- and Swedish-speaking zones in what today is Northern Sweden, and that thereafter too the Finnic language zone has continued shifting much further north."
As scientific proof to Thomas.W of the Viking Age Finnic population further south in the modern area of Sweden I provided e.g. studies[1] of the internationally acclaimed Professor Emeritus Matti Klinge, whose live interview was aired yesterday by Finnish Broadcasting Company at 18:30 Finnish time ("PS" television program).
I also offered direct quotes from sources both on talk pages and in my contribution to the article, e.g. in this manner (please not: the sources disclaim and contrarict the above-given statement (reason for deletion) of Thomas.W:
"Genetic studies in the "Family Tree DNA Rurikid Dynasty Project" pinpoint the origin of the Monomakhovich branch of the Rurikid descendants' DNA "to the genetic haplogroup N1c1 – the so-called “Finno-Ugrian”" group. The studies concluded "that the N1c1 Rurikid princes belong to the so-called “Varangian Branch” in this haplogroup."[2][3]
This is consistent with Roslagen in the northeastern corner of Uppland - a suggested birthplace of Rurik - having represented the southern border region of the land inhabited by Finno-Ugric tribes at the time of Rurik's birth.[1][4]"
On the talk page of Thomas.W, I suggested, that Thomas.W would finally "discuss the scientists and sources provided" on the talk pages, instead of continuing to delete the appropriately sourced and essential information.
Thomas.W refused to respond to my request again, and instead requested to have me blocked on false pretence. He then deleted my request from his talk page, when I was blocked.
Only after I was blocked, Thomas.W finally commented on two sources of mine, which I had attached to my contribution after Thomas had kept deleting it.
The first source (included quote from Swedish scientist) proved that there were prehistoric Finnic people living in the modern area of Southern Sweden (note: at Viking Age, Sweden did not exist yet), contradicting the above-given statement by Thomas.
After I was blocked, Thomas stated that Gotland is "halfway between the Scandinavian Peninsula and the Baltic countries". However, that too is inaccurately sated. Gotland is a part of Scandinavia, rather close to the mainland Scandinavia and far from the Baltic countries. Additionally, the remains of the excavated prehistoric farmer from the mainland modern Southern Sweden proved to belong to a person of a Mediterranean descent, again contradicting the prehistoric "Germanic" theory of Thomas.W.
In the case of the other source Thomas.W failed to recognize that the source was used solely for the fact that the use of Finnish language became entirely banned in Sweden Proper before the mid 17th century, leading to the faster "Swedification" of all Finnic people in Sweden Proper and the pushing of the Finnish language zone further up north.
Here is the text part where that source was used:
During the 12 centuries after Rurik's birth, the Finno-Ugrian ethnic zone in what today is Sweden has gradually shifted northbound, while the Finno-Ugrians have - for the most part - assimilated and melted into the mainstream Swedish society.[5] In attempts to have the Finnish population of Sweden Proper "Swedified" and assimilated into the mainstream Swedish society, the use of the Finnish language had become strictly prohibited in Sweden Proper in the mid-17th-century.[6] - RasboKaren (talk) 13:30, 23 November 2012 (UTC)

Fringe theory warning March 17, 2013
[edit]Since you again posted (and also at at least one other page) your fringe theory about Finno-Ugric origins of Varangians, I would like to remind you that this theory was already rejected by the editors, and today you just reposted it to the articles and simultaneously to the talk pages, without any attempt to achieve consensus. You have already been blocked from editing for exactly the same activity, and if you opt to continue ignoring consensus, you might be blocked again, for a longer period. Please achieve consensus first, and preferably in one place. You may want to read WP:CONSENSUS which describes what it is. Thank you for your understanding.--Ymblanter (talk) 21:00, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
- User Ymblanter: You show no previous edit history in the Varangians, Rus' people and Rurikid dynasty articles, before the revert war waged by user Thomas.W (same as Alterman ?). Hopefully, you are not him - are you? Calling friends or creating more accounts is inappropriate way to try reaching consensus in Wikipedia. - - RasboKaren (talk) 21:17, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
- This is actually not correct, I do have previous edit history, pls check carefully. But if you want to be reported on AVI by somebody else for edit warring - fine with me.--Ymblanter (talk) 21:30, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

Your additions are in clear violation of WP:Fringe and have been reverted by both me and other editors, just like they were the last time you tried to add them, in November of 2012.
