Audrey Hepburn

[edit]

I am replying to your question about Audrey Hepburn that you put on my talk. Discussions should occur in one place and I would not normally reply here. However, since we are discussing an article, the question should be at the article talk page, namely Talk:Audrey Hepburn. My reply is here so you can see the other details I have included such as where discussions normally go.

When I reverted your change, I used an edit summary that read "please read the sentence which is talking about the first world war". You should have seen that message. If you missed it, it is visible in the history of the article (click "history" at the top of the article).

The sentence in question is:

After Britain declared war on Germany in September 1939, Hepburn's mother moved her daughter back to Arnhem in the hope that, as during the First World War, the Netherlands would remain neutral and be spared a German attack.

That is, Hepburn's mother knew that certain things occurred in the First World War, and she hoped they would also occur in the Second World War. The sentence above is correct. Questions can be asked at WP:Teahouse. Johnuniq (talk) 04:13, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
