A tag has been placed on Production drawing requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. "Production drawing" article userfied

[edit]

An article is liable to be deleted if you put it into the main encyclopedia before it is ready. I have "userfied" yours - moved it into your user space at User:Rathodgs.mech/Production drawing where you can work on it.

Have a look at the WP:Cheatsheet and for more detail Help:Wiki markup to learn how to lay your page out properly. One tip is: never have a "leading space" - a space character at the beginning of a line. That makes the layout go all funny, as you can see. The way to indent text is to put a colon character : at the beginning - that indents a whole paragraph. To make a list of bullet points, put * at the beginning of each line; for a numbered list, put # at the beginning of each line.

There's good advice at WP:Your first article.

If you want to start another draft article in your userspace, see Help:Userspace draft

Table of contents

[edit]

Your article looks as though you are making a table of contents at the beginning. You do not need to do that: if you use section headers within the article, as explained at WP:Cheat sheet#Section headings, the system will automatically make a table of contents once there are more than three headings. Your question on my talk page

[edit]

I didn't delete your sandbox - it's still there at User:Rathodgs.mech/sandbox. I did delete a template you had made at Template:User sandbox:Rathodgs.mech/sandbox, because it only contained "HIIIIIIIIIII..............." and I thought it was confusing your sandbox. The only point of a template is to contain something that you want to use in several pages by transcluding it - typing its name betwween double curly brackets. I see you made it again with its own name inside, so that it got into a loop trying to call itself and gave an error message. I have restored the first version, but I advise you not to bother creating templates, but concentrate on learning Wiki markup and developing your article. The article Production drawing has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The article includes a contents list that is referenced to a book - indicating a lack of understanding of copyright rules (and wikipedia formatting). If there is anything here that is not copvio and is worth keeping it might be better at Technical drawing#Assembly drawings (and later WP:SPLIT if necessary).

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
