Search Engine Optimization
Apologies for bothering you. I just received a message from you about my editing at the Search Engine Oprimization page:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_engine_optimization
After reading everyhting, I did not understand what I had to do so I deleted my contribution and not to cause further trouble.— Preceding unsigned comment added by NamiSwan64 (talk • contribs) 15:22, January 1, 2020 (UTC)
Bigg Boss
Hi Ravensfire I don’t want to complain but Shehnaaz for Bigg Boss is used everywhere and User:Kaustubh42 doesn’t seem to understand I have also said this on the talk page but he is still saying. Shehnaaz name is spelt like this as it’s common. Please make him understand ShehnaazGill1210 (talk) 12:54, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
- ShehnaazGill1210, you are BOTH at fault here. There's a core concept on Wikipedia called WP:BRD - Boldy make a change, but when it gets Reverted, Discuss it on the talk page. You haven't bothered with that last part but keep edit-warring. You cannot control someone else's actions, but you are always in control of yours. Ravensfire (talk) 14:39, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
- And then it just turns out this is another sock of a person who thinks they are above the rules and policies of Wikipedia, who manipulates others, who ignores anyone else, who is just there for their own personal gain. And then wonder why I revert their edits. Ravensfire (talk) 21:41, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
I noticed that you didn't fix all of the vandalism, so I restored the article to the last good version.--2601:153:901:60C0:4030:5257:78E8:CB2E (talk) 01:47, 13 January 2020 (UTC)

Hi Ravensfire,
Thank you for your feedback. However, I am confused as to how my edit does not adhere to the Wikipedia's neutrality policy. I simply removed the word "pseudoscientific" in an article referring to Intelligent Design. In fact, placing "pseudoscientific" there at all is what violates the neutrality policy. There is no reason for that word to be there. It has an obvious bias and is NOT in keeping with Wikipedia's neutrality policy. Thank you Easwans (talk) 21:38, 15 January 2020 (UTC)
- Easwans, Quite simply, your definintion of neutral doesn't match what Wikipedia uses. "Neutral" in Wikipedia's terms means to describe something as it is generally described by high quality secondary sources. ID as a scientific view is strongly derided by the reliable source. The page on WP:NPOV may be helpful to you. Ravensfire (talk) 22:04, 15 January 2020 (UTC)
- You can also look on the article talk page and the archives for the multiple previous discussions about this and the reasoning into why Wikipedia uses the term pseudo-science. Ravensfire (talk) 22:06, 15 January 2020 (UTC)

Web archive
Hi! Is there any simple way than wayback machine to archive the references for Wikipedia articles? Noobie anonymous (talk) 07:11, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
- Noobie anonymous, unfortunately, that's the easiest way to archive that I know about. There are scripts that help a lot with that though. Ravensfire (talk) 13:19, 16 January 2020 (UTC)

- Adityarajpanigrahi, I'm going to assume you mean this film - Tanhaji? The gross in that film is sourced to a solid source, so you've got to give a different source. Your post is better left on the article talk page though. Ravensfire (talk) 18:06, 17 January 2020 (UTC)

The article Sachin Bandara has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Sources do not appear to meet the notability requirements at WP:CRIN/WP:NCRIC.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Coffee // have a ☕️ // beans // 23:24, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
User edits
This user is creating drafts of announced films and moving it instantly, violating WP:NFF ([1][2]). I believe this user knows that too as he removes the hidden note here for adding those films. Also reverting[3] edit without explanation. 2409:4073:284:F4C9:1528:D8A8:4D49:C6A1 (talk) 14:24, 20 January 2020 (UTC)
- I've notified them of both. For what it's worth, I think the Visual Editor sometimes strips out embedded comments. I could be wrong, but that's my supposition. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:19, 20 January 2020 (UTC)
- Cyphoidbomb, it can, but sometimes inconsistently. The template editor needs some more work and there needs to be a better way to include instructions for how to use template fields and show them in the editor. I know there is a templatedata section that is supposed to help, but I don't know how well that system works let alone if it actually gets noticed/read by editors. Ravensfire (talk) 16:21, 20 January 2020 (UTC)
Could you please move those two film articles to draft. It's better that way than getting deleted. 2409:4073:187:C18A:D962:32F5:E560:41FF (talk) 15:19, 21 January 2020 (UTC)

Award referencing
Hey there, re: this, I'm not sure how easy it is to source a lot of the Indian awards. I keep running into obstacles like, Award Entity A only posts current winners on their website. Take the Indian Telly Awards. Where do I go to verify this content? Their website only has the current winners. There's some foresight! Ah, but maybe I can check The Wayback Machine! Damn, no, requires Flash. Here are the 13th Annual Edison award nominees. Note the lack of a date. Gee, I wonder who was nominated in 2015. First I'll go to their root domain since they don't have any navigation buttons, then I'll go here where the link says "Edison Awards Nominee Announcement 2015". A blank page. Great. Mind-boggling.
My New Years Resolution was to get really hardcore about these awards, because it seems like these marketing teams create these biographies, drop a bunch of unsourced, difficult-to-verify awards, and never bother improving the sections. It really is bizarre--they add references for tons of other stuff, but almost never for awards. Anyway, I don't expect you to do anything. I just wanted to rant. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:43, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
- Cyphoidbomb, yeah, I've hit that as well. Sometimes there's a decent newspaper source that lists the actual winners which really helps. I'm frankly shocked that these award websites don't have a simple History page showing the past nominees and winners for their awards. That just makes sense to me - clearly though I'm just talking crazy like that!
- Just as fun, when I'm searching for sources for an award, sometimes sources use the event number (The 9th Annual Ravensfire Roast Awards!) and other times it's the year (2020 Ravensfire Roast Awards!) but is that year the current year, or the year in which the movies are considered.... GAAAHHHHHHH!!!! I've already started the day ranting at an unrepentant edit-warrior that should know better, this is a much better soapbox to crawl up on and bellow out my frustrations! Ravensfire (talk) 17:20, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
- The lack of historical foresight across Indian entertainment is fascinatingly frustrating to me. Most of the film posters don't have billing blocks. Rarely do you ever know who the official "stars" are of a film. The trades never publish their own "top 20 highest-grossing films" lists with agreed-upon figures. Everybody just assumes Wikipedia is correct I guess? In TV articles, people will remove actors that are no longer on the show, as if these people should be forgotten. I have tons of complaints about this subject area... Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:43, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Cyphoidbomb: Even the sources considered "reliable" sometimes just copy paste stuff from Wikipedia. Number of Sockmasters are increasing day by day and so is these stupid terms like "Parallel Lead". Some issues are "cultural" like the concept of copyright which a lot of people from India are not well taught about but other times it is just stubbornness of the user which is very difficult to handle. Vandalism at Naagin (2015 TV series)
Hello, Can you please deal with User:Bakwas Drama. This user is highly disruptive. Keeps reberting to versions with unsourced, made up info, adds supporting characters in starring, adds in house awards (Zee Rishtey, Colors Golden Petal Awards) and keeps reverting to version before a user copy edited. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2409:4055:29f:e5df::2e2:60a1 (talk) 10:02, January 27, 2020 (UTC)
- At this point, you are both edit-warring over the article and that's a bad thing. You both need to go to the article talk page and start discussing the edits. I'm going to leave warnings on both of your pages about edit-warring and also see about getting the page fully protected to force some discussion. That's about all I can do at this point though, sorry. Ravensfire (talk) 15:20, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
- Not surprisingly, the IPv6 was CU blocked and Bakwas Drama was indeffed as a sock of Balaji Telefilms Limited. So it's a bit hilarious that either of these trespassers would be riding any sort of moral high horse. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:25, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
- Cyphoidbomb, I know - I was laughing at the irony of it .. and laughing fake-hysterically at the just insane number of socks in this area. At times, I wish CU checks were run periodically to look for the more regular sock masters but I know that's against CU policy (and for good reasons). Ravensfire (talk) 17:30, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
- I don't know why it couldn't be an automated process. Let the CPUs look through suspicious ranges for potential abuse and then ping the CUs for further investigation. How'd that be any different from me digging through anon edits? Unfortunately, I'm not technologically bright enough to bring something like that to fruition. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:33, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
- Ha! Just noticed that the parallel plea from Bakwas was on my talk page. Silly. (BTW, did you know your signature talk button doesn't work? Your name links to your talk page, but not the talk. On purpose?) Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:36, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
- Cyphoidbomb, well, it *should* be working, I'll have to play around with that later on when I have more time. Interesting, obviously something minor, love wiki-code sometimes! Ravensfire (talk) 17:48, 27 January 2020 (UTC)

Devoleena Bhattacharjee
Actually, that article was fake, her actual date of birth is 22 August 1990.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Saswata 7773 (talk • contribs) 06:17, January 29, 2020 (UTC)
- Saswata 7773, Without any evidence of the source being fake or a source to support 1990 as the birth year, Wikipedia will always stick with a sourced number. Ravensfire (talk) 14:27, 29 January 2020 (UTC)
- And on the subject's talk page, I already gave this editor advice on how to potentially remedy this: Since they claim to know Bhattacharjee, they should have her contact the source and have the source issue a correction, which is standard for quality news outlets. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:51, 29 January 2020 (UTC)
- Looks like the user has a propensity for being a birth year expert. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:57, 29 January 2020 (UTC)

- Saswata 7773, first, those aren't reliable sources by Wikipedia standards. I know they get used from time to time, but they also get removed when spotted because they are just junk websites. Second, if you find a good source, you should update the page WITH THE SOURCE. Be aware that if you use a bad source, it will be reverted. Also, please sign your talk page posts by added ~~~~ at the end. Thank you. Ravensfire (talk) 19:43, 29 January 2020 (UTC)
Actually I was looking older posts of rucha hasabnis, where I saw a post of her and devoleena with caption, that devoleena is celebrating her 27th birthday and that was 2017 post also on her birthday 22 August.
Stewing in the Big Boss cauldron
Hey! I saw this edit while looking at page histories to support an SPI case and got sad. I've seen you revert and report quiet a lot of edits dealing with the mess of an area that is Big Boss and related biographies. You end up extending a little bit of good faith and it turns out to be the same sockmaster. :( I just wanted to let you know that I respect and appreciate your work and patience that mostly goes unnoticed. — HELLKNOWZ ▎TALK 11:16, 9 February 2020 (UTC)
- Hellknowz, thanks, I really appreciate the kind words. That edit certainly wasn't my best side ever, but nice to know folks understand the frustration that can arise. Thank you for that, and likewise for all your efforts in this area as well. It's a really unique area of Wikipedia. Thanks! Ravensfire (talk) 15:09, 10 February 2020 (UTC)
A user is forcing only one-sided view in articles.
What do you do when a user is forcing only negative view in a section of an article? I had edited the "critical response" section of two films because it showed only the most negative comments made by critics, that too in unnecessary details, which left the section will too much length. I trimmed the section and added all the major mentions from negative to positive, backed by the original links to the sources. But, user Harshil169 has been reverting my edits. I saw his contribution history and he has primarily targeted articles related fil director Vivek Agnihotri and his films. In reality, Vivek's films did earn negative reviews, but there were positive ones as well.
I want to know, what should be done if a section of an article shows only one side? And what to do if somebody keeps reverting the edits?

Hi. I noticed and understand your frustration of removing Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke from your watchlist due to the continuous edit warring by User:Krish990, which continues still. I have provided the reliable resources and facts of Sheikh and Sharma alone being the main leads while Arora and Priyam playing Pivotal roles. That user provides only unreliable sources and facts for his points which makes no sense. Despite discussions in talk page of the series, he is not listening. This issue should be somehow stopped soon. Can you Please return back for that page and help in sorting it out through one way or another. Thanks and regards Noobie anonymous (talk) 10:04, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for replying. But still there seems no improvement in the issue. He still edit wars it despite reverting. This should be stopped soon. Noobie anonymous (talk) 09:57, 9 March 2020 (UTC)
I discussed in the series and also his talk page but he still not listening. Noobie anonymous (talk) 15:17, 15 March 2020 (UTC)
Thank you! But I think Ritchie 333 is inactive since March 15. And even Krish 990. Noobie anonymous (talk) 09:03, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
I have reported the issue in ANI. Noobie anonymous (talk) 13:12, 25 March 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for your guidance and support. Hope this issue ends soon! Noobie anonymous (talk) 17:17, 25 March 2020 (UTC) And now User:Siddiq X follows Krish990 steps in the same article. I think they are sock puppet of Krish990. Noobie anonymous (talk) 16:20, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
ENOUGH!!!!! Okay folks, If it's about the article, use the ARTICLE TALK PAGE. I WILL delete anything from my talk page discussing what should or should not be in the infobox. The new editors - Siddiq X and Saridhvij23 and if anything are actively making things worse. At best, you've been asked to come here and make these edits by someone either directly or by a post someplace. That's called WP:MEATPUPPETRY and it's frowned upon. At worst, you're a WP:SOCK of another editor, probably Krish990. That will end up going poorly. Noobie anonymous, at this point, your post on NinjaRobotPirate's talk page isn't a bad idea, but you need to take your sockpuppet concerns to WP:SPI. I'll probably start one later today if you haven't done so just to get that point clear. The MEAT is loud and clear though and needs to be handled. Ravensfire (talk) 19:12, 3 April 2020 (UTC) Oh so you think in your defense for not proving Arora and Priyam as tne parallel leads you can escalate the concerns in any direction you want .As they say truth will triumph .I'm not sure how much you trust in this proverb Ravensfire but I think you people are just wasting your time in addressing the main issue that is beneficial to the public and not mislead them about the broadcast credits instead of putting all your energy into sock puppetry and meat puppetry which you either way can't prove because you are wrong.Saridhvij123 you seem to be a new user, but please see what further concerns have to be escalated regarding these 2 users Noobie anonymous and Ravensfire regarding the development of this talk page Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyar Ke — Preceding unsigned comment added by Siddiq X (talk • contribs) 14:21, April 3, 2020 (UTC)

Dear Ravensfire
Thanks for letting me know about the policies. I will take care of that in the future. However, the link which I have added to the song's title Azaadi Ke Liye was its Lyrical link and that's the reason why I have added the same.

Hey , I request to edit Sidharth page to make it better .many things are available. As There is no content about his modelling career ,where he became 1st asian to have won world's best model and other modelling work. No media image such as most desirable men in india , biz personallity of the year , ormax media etc. About his personal life. His media image. Awards section is not complete and full table of awards should be updated Princepratap1234 (talk) 10:40, 17 March 2020 (UTC)
- Princepratap1234, All of that is something you should be able to do, but you MUST have reliable secondary sources to support everything and avoid any promotional tone. Awards need to be notable, not just some marketing fluff, which often means there should be a Wikipedia article on the award. Ravensfire (talk) 13:30, 17 March 2020 (UTC)
- I am not good at this. If you or someone other can do this then it will be good for the page. Princepratap1234 (talk) 13:36, 17 March 2020 (UTC)
- Princepratap1234, I'm not familiar with the subject and not really interesting in them, so I'm not a good person to ask for that. You can leave sources on the talk page and hope someone will add them and related material to the article. The WP:ICTFFAQ page is a great place to help identify if the source you want to use is generally considered reliable or not. Remember that not everything online is considered reliable, most of it is not in fact. If it's a blog, or looks like a blog, probably not good. Ravensfire (talk) 14:03, 17 March 2020 (UTC)

With all respect clear my doubts
Hii your activities and edits makes me think you are connected to PR of Indian celebrities and does paid work here on Wikipedia which is illegal. I might be wrong but can you make me clear how after your edit Shenaaz Gill, Paras Chhabraa pages dont have any issues Tag. Also many unreliable sources has been used in their Wikipedia page. It reads advertising too. Kindly check and let me know. With all respect Lily Flingg (talk) 18:07, 17 March 2020 (UTC)
- Lily Flingg, that's a humorous request, but easy enough to honor. Nope, not connected to a PR of any type, not connected to any celebrity of any type and I absolutely do NOT do any paid work on Wikipedia. I'm more of a wiki-gnome, working on removing bad sources when added, tweaking phrasing and cleaning up/assisting editors that didn't quite do things the right way. On your comment about many unreliable sources being used, yes, that's correct. And the right approach is to replace or remove them when spotted, NEVER to add more. Making the problem worse is not helpful. Likewise, edits like this where you added a substantial claim without a source aren't helpful - readers need those sources so they can refer to them to verify the statement, one of the core principles of Wikipedia. Thanks. Ravensfire (talk) 18:15, 17 March 2020 (UTC)
- Exactly, being a teacher by profession I notice these days people are not putting any efforts to edit and create worthy pages. Mostly everyone are busy in creating and editing pages of new artist. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Gurbaksh Chahal; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 14:44, 18 March 2020 (UTC)

- @Indian Tech Lover: Honestly, as long as it's substantially what was written by the blocked editor, it needs to remain. Are you connected to that editor or are being paid to edit the article and haven't made the required declarations (read WP:PAID)? Ravensfire (talk) 15:21, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
Sorry, I wasn't aware of Wikipedia rule. I have declared it, please review and let me know if there are any errors. Sorry again and thank you. Indian Tech Lover (talk) 16:51, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
- Indian Tech Lover, thank you for that. Honestly, it's a questionable article. It was moved to draft space by MER-C who's an extremely experienced editor because the overall tone was / is still frankly promotional. The sources are all pretty much around the sale and purchase. There some unsourced stuff in there. When you moved it into main article space as a new editor, that's going to set off all kinds of alarm bells in most experience editors. Hence my question about being paid. Frankly, I think it would be best to be back in draft, cleaned up (think boring writing, this is an encyclopedia) and go through the WP:AFC process. I'm not part of that process, I do more quiet edits. Ravensfire (talk) 22:42, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
Nahshon Anderson wiki deletion
Hi Raven:
I'm Nahshon Anderson. You've made edits to my page. My wiki article was recently nominated for deletion, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Nahshon_Dion_Anderson. This was my response, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:David_Fuchs#Nahshon_Anderson_Wiki_article_deletion. Thanks for reading my message. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shootingrange78 (talk • contribs) 17:05, March 23, 2020 (UTC)
- Shootingrange78, thank you for making your comment. Wikipedia is a tricky place sometimes, and it's geared towards the mainstream mostly because of the reliable source demands and how notability is defined/measured. The Anderson article has been a mess for a while - obvious promotional editors at times, obvious contrary editors at times. BLP violations, unsourced statements, just stuff that isn't good. As written, it's a "meh" article at best right now. Fuchs' analysis on the deletion page is very thorough and details, more than usually seen. It highlights some weaknesses that need to be addressed, especially the sourcing. For notability, good in-depth articles from publications that have a decent footprint are by far the most helpful. Interviews generally aren't considered when viewing notability (see the notability page), it's those articles written by someone else about you that are the most helpful. I think your response is a good basis for a comment on the AFD page, but there, something that focuses on specific additional sources and areas of improvement would be most helpful. The AFD has been categorized in multiple lists which interested Wikiprojects watch which will get some additional eyes. Just some thoughts. Ravensfire (talk) 22:33, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
Image update for celebrities/Important Personnel
Hello Ravensfire,
I just saw your note on the image update. My intentions was not to update anything which is inappropriate. Obviously we don't venture out to take snapshots of those Celebrities/Important Personnel to update images in Wikipedia or any public forum. Having said that I tired all different options to update image after giving credit to the source but all my efforts went in vain. As a last resort I just chose to tag it as my own to avoid getting the image deleted. I might be doing it the wrong way, I would appreciate if you could redirect me on how to update images to Celebrities or Important personnel. I reiterate that my intentions is not to violate anyone's rights or take credit for anything that is not mine. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thinkwiki (talk • contribs) 18:29, March 26, 2020 (UTC)
- Thinkwiki, I hear where you've coming from and you're not the only person who's done this, but it's just flat wrong and needs to stop. The really bad thing was taking credit for someone else's work - that's what you did when you said it was "own work". Someone else put the effort and skill and you just claimed it behind their back. Think about how you'd feel if someone else took credit for your effort. Don't do that again.
- The other thing to realize is that Wikipedia strives to be a free encyclopedia, which means more than just zero cost or who can edit it, but free in terms of rights, allowing others to reuse the content without a fee, just attribution. To do that, everything in the encyclopedia must be free, including the images. Now, the English Wikipedia does hedge a bit on images, using a doctrine in US law called Fair Use, where some copyrighted images can be used in very limited circumstances. Please read over the WP:Non-free content page carefully, especially around images. Non-free images of anyone living are just not allowed, don't try, it won't happen. It's because someone could take a picture and donate it. Movie posters are allowed, for the article on the film only, because there is no other option. You've probably seen some images from Bollywood Hungama that have been uploaded to Commons. They've decided to allow relicensing of their images using a free license as long as the image was taken in certain circumstances - one of their parties or events that was in India and was taken by one of their photographers.
- I'll be honest, you probably shouldn't upload images for a while. You need to learn more about Wikipedia, about copyright and about licensing. If you don't, you'll probably end up making a mistake and your history will hurt you and possibly end up with being blocked from editing. Copyright is something that Wikipedia takes VERY seriously, and you've seriously breached it. Ravensfire (talk) 02:43, 27 March 2020 (UTC)
Desamuduru Album Cover
I edited the image by extracting it from music player. What should I do in order not to loose the image?Bangaru ramu (talk) 00:13, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
- Bangaru ramu, With non-free images - which is what that image is as it's a copyrighted work - any use of it must full under fair-use. Wikpedia's non-free content page has guidelines on how to use non-free images and one of them is to keep the use to a minimum. For film articles, the rule is to use the film poster and only include the soundtrack cover in very rare circumstances where the soundtrack cover generated significant comment in reliable sources. WP:FILMSCORE talks more about this. Ravensfire (talk) 13:03, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
- Also, you've tagged the image as being free. Please indicate where you found that the image was released as free. Images are protected by copyright by default and they have to be explicitly granted by the creator to be free. I really, really hope you didn't falsely state the image was free, that's copyright infringement - you CANNOT just upload any image you find from your music player and claim it's free. Wikipedia depends on you be honest about files, and when you aren't, it can cause issues. Ravensfire (talk) 13:06, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
- Amazon.Bangaru ramu (talk) 13:33, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
- Bangaru ramu, Sigh, so it's not free. Okay, I'll tag it to be deleted. Please don't do something like this again - you cannot lie about where you get the image and expect other editors not to spot it and to question your uploads in the future. Ravensfire (talk) 13:34, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
- Google once. Images on Amazon are free. Bangaru ramu (talk) 14:07, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
- Bangaru ramu, no, they aren't. They are free in terms of cost because you can right-click and download, but they are NOT free with regards to copyright. That requires a very specific declaration. I can guarantee that Amazon doesn't have that because they aren't the rights holder. Ravensfire (talk) 14:10, 30 March 2020 (UTC)

Dollar value in movie article
Hello Wikipedia Editor, I received a "Red coloured notification" saying "Your edit on Kesari (2019 film) was reverted. Undid revision 948743350 by Mr.Regalis (talk), Per WP:ICTF co". I am unable to understand what this red message means. So it would be very kind of you if you could be troubled to explain what you meant. I think all I did was to duplicate the template that was already in the article at a few more places so that it is easier for the reader to make sense of the currency value. Yours truly. Regalis. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mr.Regalis (talk • contribs) 15:44, April 2, 2020 (UTC)
- Mr.Regalis, For a couple of different reasons, there's a consensus not to use the INRConvert template in article leads or infoboxes. You can see the latest discussion around this at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Film/Indian cinema task force#Proposal: INRConvert in film articles. In the main body of the article, it's okay to use the template. As your edit added that template to values in the infobox and lead, I reverted the change. Ravensfire (talk) 20:51, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
- I see, thanks a lot for the kind explanation. That linked discussion says on the top that the Result was: rejected. Although the people who made comments seem to say what you have explained above. I have no intention to argue with you or anyone over this trivial issue. But I will point that you also removed the templates from the main body of the article. Even though you said that it is not prohibited to add them in the article body. So can you please re-add the templates in the main body as they are acceptable. Many thanks. Regalis
- Can you please act to rectify your removal or respond about the contradiction between your response and actions ? --Mr.Regalis (talk) 08:32, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
- Mr.Regalis, respectfully, I will, in due time (which generally means when I'm actually editing Wikipedia as opposed to working or asleep). Generally, when your edit is reverted, the understanding is that the entire edit is reverted because that's how the Wikipedia editing system works. The responsibility for making any parts of the edit that are good are up to the person who made the edit originally, not the person that reverted. I'm not here to clean up after your mistakes. Ravensfire (talk) 14:07, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
- Appreciate your kind reply and patience, while I understand about the Editing process. To be honest, I was a bit upset to see my edits being deleted. It led me to question myself about the point of editing Wikipedia, if someone will remove it anyway. Now, I do understand your point regarding infobox, so I was hoping that you could have only removed the offending ones that were in Infobox and not all of them. Is there a rule/or policy that asks to delete all the edits instead of the offending ones. I have read a few Wikipedia policies in past few days, but there are so many of them, it is hard to read all of them. If you could link me to the policy that says all edits (as opposed to some) are allowed to be deleted, I would be very grateful. I personally feel that removing good edits on technical grounds are contrary to the objective of building an Encyclopedia. I am not in a hurry, but I just wanted a clear resolution one way or the other, which is why I posted on this talk page. I would appreciate if you could restore some of my edits, I can also do it if you allow me to. Finally, please accept my sincere apologies if my post here had caused you any trouble. Thanks. Hello. Can you help as I ask for reconsideration of the recreation of two previous deleted articles, that two players now play in the Paraguay División Intermedia, so as to be fully professional sports league on Wiki. Respectfully. Rojodiablcerrocerrocerro (talk) 18:23, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- Rojodiablcerrocerrocerro, Dangerous Panda has not edited Wikipedia in over 5 years. You may want to create the articles in Draft space - Draft:Marcos Caballero and Draft:Lelo Sejean and go through the WP:AFC process, especially given one of them was deleted after a discussion. Ravensfire (talk) 20:48, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
Hello Ravensfire. Thanks for helping. I will do as your instructions advise, I also want to create a page of Brad Norman who is a goalkeeper from South Africa in the Paraguay Primera División but fear that the page might be deleted as I am not so sure if the South African leagues that he previously appeared in were professional according to Wiki. What may be your advisement? Respectively.
INRConvert
Hey there, re: this, If I remember correctly, and I may not, I don't think the sum of the INRConvert discussion cared so much about the lead, rather the infobox clutter. I could be wrong, but thought I'd mention it. Regards as usual, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:06, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- Cyphoidbomb, hmmm, I need to review it again as I thought it was both the lead and the infobox for the same reasons - lots of clutter. I'll review in the morning, right now, time for sleep! Ravensfire (talk) 04:09, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
No Concflict of Interest
Thanks for writing on my page. That picture was considered solely to publish about an actor working in the film industry. There are no COI in any of the articles I write. I have started this contribution in Wikipedia as passion and as an opportunity to give my best to Wikipedia. I would welcome your suggestions and support as you have been in Wikipedia for years. I have just started and will try to improve with each article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cinemapremi (talk • contribs) 09:23, April 22, 2020 (UTC)
- Cinemapremi, I'm glad to hear that. You need to deal with the copyright violations on the images on commons especially. If you leave a post on the deletion discussion (here) that you mis-understood copyright and it should be deleted, I can handle the rest of the request pretty easily. On here, fair use is great to use on movie posters and the title pages for shows, but for living people it's not really acceptable. The existing discussion will handle it here, so not much you need to do. Please, please, please be more careful with images and if you aren't sure, ASK. There is no deadline on Wikipedia, take the time to make sure it's right. I'm going to leave a welcome message on your talk page that has some really good useful links on the important Wikipedia policies, that should help you out. Good luck! Just an FYI...you state that Peterson enlisted in the USMC, but he got out as a Captain, which is the rank of a commissioned officer. Officers don’t enlist, they are instead “given a commission” by the President. IE - Commissioned Officer (rank O1-O10) vs Non-Commissioned Officer also known as an NCO (this is someone who enlisted, rank E1-E9). Rdoodles (talk) 10:20, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

You need to be responsible enough
hye u have deleted my external link at Adele (Hello) song. How could you do that? I am not promoting my content and one thing if you are removing my link then why are you not MetroLyrics Link?? Tell me. Why are u so irresponsible? How could u delete my link and not Metro Lyrics link in that page. If u do so again then delete both or keep both. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Suvambiswas12 (talk • contribs) 11:05, April 29, 2020 (UTC)
- Suvambiswas12, Of course you're not promoting your content .. just spamming it. There's a substantial different between your brand new site full of copyright violations and Metro Lyrics which is established and pays for licenses to display the lyrics. Wikipedia will not link to a lyrics site that doesn't license the content - that's copyright infringement. If you keep spamming your site, it can be put on the spam black list which WILL stop your promotional efforts here and other sites that reference our black list. Ravensfire (talk) 16:10, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
- how could you say that i am spamming my content. have you gone through my disclaimer and terms of use?
- and u are telling that metro ,lyrics is having all licence of all the song. how could u say that are u the manager of metro lyrics?
- millions of songs are there. i have just added one link to wikipedia that also u removed . you know that my site is new right now. so u can help me right by allowing me to add at least add one link in wikipedia? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Suvambiswas12 (talk • contribs) 12:57, April 29, 2020 (UTC)
- Suvambiswas12, First, Wikipedia is NOT the place to promote your site. That's the goal of your spamming - it's as simple as that. I don't care about your sites terms of use, but you should care about Wikipedia's terms of use, especially around WP:COI and WP:PAID editing as there are no disclosures about this on your page. For your Metro Lyrics question, spending 15 seconds to read the article here would have given you the answer. Let me be blunt - don't use Wikipedia to promote your site. It's new, it's full of copyright violations and it fails WP:ELNO. Ravensfire (talk) 18:06, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
- And now using IP accounts to continue to spam links to your site 202.142.68.88 (talk · contribs · WHOIS). Guess the WP:SBL is the only option here. Ravensfire (talk) 18:10, 29 April 2020 (UTC)

Ramayan is not a Mythological epic. It is a live epic written by Bhagavan Valmiki. There are so many proofs example Rama Sethu, where you call it as Adam's bridge. Is this how you destroy our history? Please remove it from the genere mythology. We all know that our history is manipulated. Our scriptures by great sages are manipulated in microlevel. Disruptive Hong Kong user
Hey there, I just did a range block on 101.78.232.0/21 for a year. I went through about a year of their edits, taking random samples of diffs,t and most of the stuff is from the disruptive Hong Kong user. There are stretches of edits to the Himesh Reshammiya article, whihc and even when they were not editing that article, I'd notice their obsession with overlinking, or incompetent grammar choices (changing "German police officer" to "German Police Officer") or would see yet again that they were adding links to Himesh Reshammiya to some tangential article. (Like a reality show that Reshammiya appeared on.) Occasionally I might have seen some edits that were possibly not by them, but these were so few, and I'm not actually sure they weren't this disruptive user. Anyway, I think the casualties will be minimal and hopefully this will help slow him down. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:41, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- Cyphoidbomb, thank you. I agree with you about the activity in that range - I went back over a year and it's well over 95% our HK friend - overlinking, capitalization issues, MOS issues, promotional tone issues and zero changes despite warnings, reverts and blocks. Overall, not helping the encyclopedia. Ravensfire (talk) 16:04, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
Saw your comment on Minor Edit
"It looks like you are trying to sneak something by other editors and it's considered disruptive"
This is only your perception mate, i don't have to sneak through others. stopping being a brag, if you want to advise something there is a way to do it. You sure are not the lone contributor to Wikipedia, we are all trying to get the right information updated. Good you can be a patrol cop and advise people but you need to learn how to do that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thinkwiki (talk • contribs) 13:07, May 21, 2020 (UTC)
- Thinkwiki, Actually, it's not my perception, I know you're not trying to do something like that, but that you just don't know how minor should be used. I'm hoping you read the linked page and have a better understanding of that checkbox. For the rest of your comment, yup, I'm aware of that. I try to help good-faith new editors understand how Wikipedia works and the various policies / guidelines that affect editing. Things like good sourcing, basics of copyright, consistent layout and formatting that often trip up new editors but after some explanation, they get the reasons for those policies and improve their editing. Ur disruptive editing leads to loss of information on the episodes.. That is really important for a serial.. If Wikipedia has information about the programs broadcasted alone, then wats the need of sorting alphabetically.. It can be sorted according to original airing date B103N48 (talk) 19:34, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
- B103N48, the general view on Wikipedia is that it's not important, however, and that's especially true in the era of streaming broadcasts. I get it, you disagree with that view, I'm not really going to try to change your views, just ask that you recognize that that the consensus view on Wikipedia is different that your preferred version. MOS:TV has some helpful information for you. Please discuss this further on the ARTICLE talk page, not here. Ravensfire (talk) 19:45, 21 May 2020 (UTC)

- MV1306, I'm guessing you didn't read the page I linked, did you? It says very clearly "Avoid the use of Indic scripts in the lead sections or infoboxes" right at the start! So you should NOT use that for native names in infoboxes. Ravensfire (talk) 18:47, 14 June 2020 (UTC)
- I've reverted your edits because you obviously didn't read that page I linked. I will point out something you've managed to totally miss - the MOS talks about not using indic script in the lead or the infobox, not the body of the article. So if there's a section talking about the name of the city and you've got a source to back things up, that's possibly a spot for it. Ravensfire (talk) 18:53, 14 June 2020 (UTC)
Then how to write the native names?

I cannot imagine why you are interested in editing my page so frequently but as you are doing so could you please do so fairly_
Why can no one at all put any recent information on this page? There are many recent newspaper and television articles on my websites about my current activities in the Fukagawa Geisha District. Why are they removed any time anyone puts anything up?
I have many geisha fans, and students in my geisha classes, and geisha trainees, and it is does not mean they are "sock puppets". They see outdated information and want to update it!
I do not have an account and do not know how to edit and have no interest in editing. Could you please post this somewhere that wikipedia editors will see and can help resolve this situation? My little geisha have a real struggle in corona times and at the very least it would be helpful to have recent information so people who want to call them can find them.
Re the Gym stuff you present "an unsafe building used for tourist accommodation" as if it were fact. The local council evicted my four legal signed up tenants in a house used purely as a residence by mistake (check the Ombudesmen's Report that judged so and recommended compensation be paid) and then spent nearly 20 years trying to avoid paying compensation for that mistake. The house was NEVER tourist accommodation. It wsa a regular house. At the very least write that the council accused the building of being unsafe for tourists but Graham contends that the building was never used for tourists and as such was perfectly safe as a residence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2400:4050:b1a0:2d00:94f1:212:cf0:8ff7 (talk) 23:28, July 4, 2020 (UTC)
- Sayuki / Graham, You've been promoting yourself for enough years on Wikipedia that you really should know the policies pretty well by now. It's all about what independent reliable sources say - that's what gets reflected in the articles here. Not your own personal view / wishes. This isn't the place to promote yourself, like you've been doing for years. That needs to flat out stop. It does NOT help you at all. Your spiel about no interest in editing is put to lie by your repeated efforts over the years to spin, promote and whitewash yourself on Wikipedia. You've had countless friends edit on your behalf and that's really not helpful. You've got to stop having them edit for you.
Short version - stop trying to use Wikipedia to promote yourself, stop having others edit on your behalf, understand that Wikipedia articles reflect what independent reliable sources say. Ravensfire (talk) 06:20, 7 July 2020 (UTC)
Indian hip hop
Hey, Why You Delete The Desi Hip Hop Genre Creator is Bohemia, It's a Fact Buddy, So Are u Biased, Plz Don't do this kind of Shity things..
Thanks & Regards Hip-Hop Akshay HipHopAkshay (talk) 05:28, 7 July 2020 (UTC)
- HipHopAkshay, The short answer is a lack of an included reliable source that backs up the statement. The longer answer is that's a very significant claim, and WP:EXCEPTIONAL claims need exceptional sources and here that should be research / academic sources that focus on the history of hip hop music in India. Even articles in major newspapers or trade sites probably don't get to that exceptional criteria - you're saying in Wikipedia's voice that Bohemia created that genre. Perhaps, or perhaps he made that genre popular, or was one of the early major faces - regardless, Wikipedia needs sources backing up statements. Ravensfire (talk) 06:13, 7 July 2020 (UTC)

Ravensfire, sorry been new to this & getting the gist of Wikipedia. As you said every picture might be copyrighted & it is. - Cringethetics, Both Instagram and Facebook has a specific license for images that is not compatible with Wikipedia. You CANNOT upload images you find on Facebook or Instagram. Any image that looks professionally taken probably is, and is copyrighted. You'd need to find a picture taken by a fan and uploaded with a fully free license. Ravensfire (talk) 18:17, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
- RavensfireWhat license tage do i need to use when i find one picture & how should i prove the picture is not copyrighted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cringethetics (talk • contribs) 13:28, July 8, 2020 (UTC)
- The one you DON'T use is "Own Work" - that means YOU were behind the camera and took the picture. The general rule is to assume that every picture you see is copyrighted. There would need to be something on that page that explicitly says the image has been released into public domain or has a compatible Creative Commons license. Some sites release some of their images with a compatible license - BollywoodHungama for instance allows images taken by one of their photographers of an party/event in India. For specific images, you can ask at the Commons help desk. Ravensfire (talk) 18:43, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
- Cringethetics, BTW - when you leave a talk page post, it's a good habit to sign your posts, by adding four tildes (~~~~~) at the end, or clicking on the signature button. Ravensfire (talk) 18:45, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

- Cringethetics, No worries - Wikipedia unfortunately has a fairly old interface that means a lot has to be done manually that's usually done automatically in current forum/discussion sites. Licensing stuff is pretty complicated stuff, especially for new contributors. Ravensfire (talk) 18:55, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

UPSSSC
Hi Ravensfire. This is wrong. You said you are neither going to remove article of UPSSSC nor add my reference link. This is like borrowing money from someone and saying when you give it to me, it becomes my property. If wikipedia publish my written article, then no one should remove reference links. Also the link was not spam and i added it because it relates to the article. For your knowledge, I was an Assistant Professor and i have contributed to various articles on wikipedia — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.113.98.47 (talk) 10:48, July 21, 2020 (UTC)
- Everytime you click on the Publish Changes button, you are also agreeing to the statement below it = "By publishing changes, you agree to the Terms of Use, and you irrevocably agree to release your contribution under the CC BY-SA 3.0 License and the GFDL. You agree that a hyperlink or URL is sufficient attribution under the Creative Commons license." That's how Wikipedia works, and why no single editor owns any given article, they belong to the community. The reference you're trying to add is not a reliable source and it basically just commercial spam that it and similar sites have been removed time and again from articles. You're welcome to take it to the reliable source noticeboard if you really think it meets the standards for reliable sources. Ravensfire (talk) 16:00, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
Hi Ravensfire, You are saying the article link is not reliable. It means neither the article is reliable as it was created by me. The link is as reliable as wikipedia. If you say my article link is not reliable then how can my written article of UPSSSC is reliable as all the information on this page is provided by me. You are directly removing the references of the article creator and saying that references are wrong. If article creator references are wrong as you say, then the article is also wrong. So you have to remove it. But you are keeping my article and removing my references saying it not a reliable source, then this is wrong. I have years of experience in creating articles and neither my article nor my link is wrong. You should put my reference link if you put my article on wiki or you should remove it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.113.98.47 (talk) 11:41, July 21, 2020 (UTC)
Hi Ravensfire, Check this on wiki at url https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Verifiability#Burden_of_evidence
"What counts as a reliable source The word "source" when citing sources on Wikipedia has three related meanings: The piece of work itself (the article, book) The creator of the work (the writer, journalist) The publisher of the work (for example, Random House or Cambridge University Press) All three can affect reliability." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.113.98.47 (talk) 11:55, July 21, 2020 (UTC)
It mentions reliability with author. Since i am the author of the article UPSSSC, then the link should be counted as reliable source. I have never put any unreliable link on wiki. The information provided by me on this article is authentic as you can check it through official website of UPSSSC i.e. upsssc.gov.in. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.113.98.47 (talk) 16:55, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
- That's a creative, but grossly incorrect, interpretation of that policy. If you add the link again, you'll be blocked from editing, and links that are repeatedly added by multiple editors may be blacklisted. OhNoitsJamie Talk 18:20, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
Hi Ravensfire, Now this is the id from which i created this page of UPSSSC. I have given you info on reliable sources as given on wikipedia. Also why you have not removed the link of zeebiz who just added two lines in the article and added references. What is this. I created this whole page of UPSSSC and you removed my reference but retained other people references who just add two lines in the article. This is unfair. Either add my reference or remove this page or other references.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Akpanchal2013 (talk • contribs) 13:26, July 21, 2020 (UTC)

What is your problem y u reverting my editing in Wikipedia. Whatever I editing is authentic. Plz don't remove it Hmkwfrance (talk) 14:54, 25 July 2020 (UTC)
- Hmkwfrance, You've had multiple message left on your talk page about the need for reliable sources when you add material. I've removed ONLY statements that don't have the sources allowing readers to verify what you've added. That's a core principle of Wikipedia. You need to include sources when adding material. Ravensfire (talk) 15:26, 25 July 2020 (UTC)
Ok but when I included source then don't remove it Hmkwfrance (talk) 18:05, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- Hmkwfrance, like I said, as long as you use reliable sources, and you really need to read that page, that's a good thing. Blogs, forums, junk sites are NOT reliable sources. Self-published sources (social media posts, sites directly related to the article subject, etc) are good for basic facts, but don't demonstrate notability and cannot be used for anything that might be questioned or about anything else other than that subject. Again, read the reliable source page. Ravensfire (talk) 18:15, 27 July 2020 (UTC)

Plz I am requesting dont reverted any of my content post. U always doing this. Requesting don't do it. I am giving u warning Hmkwfrance (talk) 16:39, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- Hmkwfrance, have you read ANY of the warning messages and notes that have been left on your talk page? You're adding information without also adding a reference that verifies that information. As long as you add a reliable source that supports the information, it's probably going to stay on the article. You aren't doing that, which is why it's getting removed. You want me to stop removing content? Sure, add a reliable source with it. It's that simple. If you continue to add unsourced material, at some point it will need to be brought to the attention of administrators. Warn me all you want, the issue is with your edits and that needs to get fixed, by you. Ravensfire (talk) 17:10, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
Daaask?
This guy is a menace. I think it might be a Daaask sock, but who knows/cares. Daaask, who I think was also Vasan20 was STUNNINGLY incompetent, and extraordinarily stubborn—beyond any reasonable explanation for being that stubborn. You could tell him a thousand times that what he was doing was wrong, and he'd just keep injecting the same shit into article after article. My god... Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:34, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
- Cyphoidbomb, interesting comment about Vasan20, which wouldn't surprise me. There about a 3 month gap from Vasan20 and Daaask starting up, I wonder which blocked user is actually the sock from that timeframe. The IP is almost certainly Daaask, see 2409:4072:628F:459B:40E4:E699:B787:82D2 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) and other 2409.4072 editors on other articles Daaask was interested in. Of course, that range is for the biggest telecom in India, so coincidence is possible, but the style is the same. RBI and semi the main targets, I guess is the only option here. iSmart Shankar title error
So there's this film, iSmart Shankar whose italic title won't displayed without given an error. This was initially solved by using {{DISPLAYTITLE:''iSmart Shankar''}} but its no longer working for some reason. Could you help me with this? --Ab207 (talk) 17:48, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
- Ab207, it looks like the use of DISPLAYTITLE was removed here with an edit summary of "fixing disallowed DISPLAYTITLE modifications)", and it was replaced with the {{lowercase title}} template. That supports the initial lower-case, but doesn't do italics. There is an italics template, but that doesn't do lowercase. I tried "italic_title=force" in the infobox, but that throws an error. I'm not sure how to handle this, honestly.
- Bdijkstra, this was a change you made a little over a week ago. It's a film article, so the title should be in italics, but it also starts with a lower-case character. From some searching based on your edit summary, there is a template to handle italics and a template for lowercase, but not both. The {{infobox film}} template will automatically make the title italics, but it can't handle a lower-case first character. Using the italic_title=force parameter in the infobox worked, but generates a nasty looking error. Do you have any thoughts on how to get both lowercase and italics for the title on this article? Ravensfire (talk) 19:37, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
- I tried adding back the display title, its working now. I have no idea what went wrong before. I'm guessing its because some IP vandal ignorantly changing the displaytitle here, causing a mismatch with article title and article being added to disallowed displaytitle category, after which Bdijkstra replaced it with lower case template. Or is it because using displaytitle is not allowed anymore? -- Ab207 (talk) 20:24, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
- Ab207, I didn't spot that at all, That probably was the issue causing the film to be included in the maintenance category. Ravensfire (talk) 20:40, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah, Bdijkstra may confirm this. Anyway, thanks for looking into it, hope I didn't bother you unnecessarily. -- Ab207 (talk) 20:48, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
- Indeed. Displaytitle itself is still allowed, but if you add or remove characters, the maintenance category appears. I didn't know whether italics were required, so I just fixed the first letter. Note that there is also {{Lower case first letter italic title}}. --bdijkstra (talk) 07:12, 7 August 2020 (UTC)

hi! Revenfire i saw this message due to hectic schedule I am busy with studies and jobs these days. I run marathons and whenever I get time spare time I practice to achieve new milestones. - I'm honestly not really sure what to tell you. Please understand that Wikipedia has some reasonably strict requirements for notability that the vast majority of people don't meet. I'm certainly never going to have my own Wikipedia article (I hope!). Your times are excellent, but they clearly aren't a world record and never were a world record when there are entries from 2001 that exceed your distance. It's still and accomplishment and one that you should be proud of and strive to exceed. Finding motivation is always tough, but the existence of a Wikipedia article is poor source. Running is about bettering YOU and YOUR time and YOUR mileage. Motivate from that, from always improving. Ravensfire (talk) 21:52, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
User:Amiha jhunjhunwala and User:Prema Puriwala keeps on adding unnecessary brief cast descriptions and links of the cast without Wikipedia page to one of their previous series in Anupamaa. Some of their edits seems to follow a similar pattern. Also, they repeatedly mention Sarita Joshi playing Alpaa in the series with a character description, which is a vandalised one as she has not even entered the series. Joshi confirmed that she is not shooting for any due to the pandamic [8] and there are also no reports for casting her in the series. When I revert, they repeat their actions justifying their unnecessary edits. Please see to it. With regards. Noobie anonymous (talk) 07:06, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
Also, both often relate Sarita Joshi and Arvind Vaidya uniting after Baa Bahoo Aur Baby series.
Prema Puriwala edits: 1. [9]: Adding Sarita Joshi playing a role in Anupamaa 2. [10], [11]: Unnecessary linking casts of the series to their former series.
Amiha's edits: 1. [12]: Linking with Baa Bahoo Aur Baby 2. [13]: Linking casts with their former series and addition of Sarita Joshi and some unnecessary cast descriptions like in for Arvind Vaidya character (He has a catchphrase "I know Manne remember che" that means "I remembered it") 3. [14]: Adding Joshi entering the series in her article.

All my articles are according to the Wikipedia terms and all my edits are not unnecessary but important and true if you don't so look at the cast section that the Google app itself has made and in it the actual and original casts' names are their with their respective profiles created by Google app itself so Neither I nor the Google app's information is wrong actually the reality is u don't see the series or u don't read the upcoming news regarding the series Anupamaa. So from now onwards do not revert my edits unnecessarily and write non-informative information. What do you think? Here it would seem we have a case of some guy logging in and out as he pleases to make subpar edits, but I'm sort of confused. These edits seem to introduce tolerably-phrased content, but then what's up with this? Corer? And neither the IP nor the user account have ever used an edit summary or a talk page. I'm pretty sure there's a COI here, but I'm not quite sure I'd call it Akbar writing about himself just yet. The নয়নবাবু translates to "Nayanbabu", and I can't help but notice that this Akbar character created Nayan-Apon Production. So this really feels like it could either be guy writing about himself, maybe with some help, or UPE. It also seems like the 103.35.* entity does all the heavy lifting, whereas Nayanbabu makes smallish cosmetic changes. What do you think's going on here? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:20, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
- Cyphoidbomb, No question there's UPE happening here and it's been going on for a while. The 103.35.171.0/24 range is just about entire MRA edits (there's maybe 5 or 6 that aren't) - them, their films, their production company, actors in their films. There are edits from 103.35.* from December 2015 on MRA and related articles. There is zero chance that someone is such a huge fan of them that they make all of these edits. None. It's probably not MRA, but someone on their payroll or PR firm hired to maintain these articles. নয়নবাবু translating exactly to the production company name is an easy tell for COI / UPE. May be good to take to COIN? The Nayan-Apon Production article should probably just be a redirect to MRA, but given the obvious COI here, you know that would get reverted. May require AFD to get a redirect to stick. Ravensfire (talk) 20:35, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
- COIN case filed. Let's see what, if anything, happens! I don't think I've been to that board much. At least not in recent history. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:21, 20 August 2020 (UTC)

- Rahulsoman, Since you didn't leave much of a context for your complaint, I'm going to guess you're referring to the three articles I moved to draft space. Not deleted, as you said, but moved. All three of those articles were about living persons and suffered from a lack of reliable sources. IMDB is not considered a reliable source except in very limited cases, see WP:CITEIMDB. Bookmyshow bio pages are questionable at best. The articles showed some hint that they were notable, which I why I moved them to draft space. This gives you the time to work on the articles and improve them without dealing with someone actually trying to delete them. What you need to do now is add more reliable sources that focus on the article subject, not something else. So something that's about a film and has a short mention of the person isn't what's needed. Interviews are generally good sources, but they don't help show that the person it notable, so you can't rely on them. You really need three good non-interview reliable sources that focus on a person to really show notability. Since they are all actors, please read over the WP:NACTOR page which is how Wikipedia editors measure the notability of an actor. Ravensfire (talk) 21:18, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- Dear Ravensfire
- Definitely I am going to resubmit the article which I have made, with proper newspaper citation and all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rahulsoman (talk • contribs) 16:29, August 19, 2020 (UTC)

Mufaddal Saifuddin
Why did you reverted the page Mufaddal Saifuddin to its previous version, i edited it. It would be kind of you to change it back to as i had edited... Lover of mother (talk) 04:06, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
- Lover of mother, generally, honorifics aren't used on Wikipedia pages. See WP:HONORIFICS. Note that in several cases you changed page titles and links to include words they did not use, that's absolutely not acceptable. Ravensfire (talk) 04:30, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
New noticeboard?
I think the community needs a new noticeboard. I'd like to dub it the "You Gotta Be Shitting Me Noticeboard". (Shortcut WP:USM/N?) Where am I supposed to take Biswanath Rath to get more eyes on it? I tried taking it to WikiProject Film, but that group goes into winter hibernation every time I mention anything even remotely Indian. It doesn't seem exactly appropriate to take to BLPN. RFC? Just seems like there should be a board for glaring issues like this. Drop it off and let the bees go to work chopping the hell out of it...
Maybe I'll go COI/N. Thanks for letting me rant. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:14, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
- Cyphoidbomb, COIN is probably the best starting point. Taht's just not a good article, way too much in the lead. Ravensfire (talk) 15:37, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
- I decided to ask them if they have a COI first, since COIN seems to be an escalation vs. a starting point, and I may drop the article off at the biographies WikiProject since I guess WikiProject Film doesn't cover people in film. Thanks for letting me think out loud on your talk page. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:40, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
Baalveer Returns plot and cast
Why did you you chop away the details of the season 1 from plot and cast sections? Nutshell0tasty (talk) 16:27, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- Nutshell0tasty, So the article is about season 2, right? Yup. So why would you have the details for season 1 in TWO different articles? That's just crazy! Having the EXACT SAME information in two different articles is just crazy. The articles probably shouldn't have been split, but it's been done so the information should be split. Not have two articles that are 75% the same. Ravensfire (talk) 16:32, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
Baalveer Returns has 2 seasons. The 2nd season is starting on Wednesday. Baal Veer is not Season 1 WEST SA01 (talk) 17:06, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
Baalveer Returns is a sequel of Baal Beer. WEST SA01 (talk) 17:16, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- WEST SA01, Clarify that in the article, it's very, very unclear and the goal of a Wikipedia article is to explain it to someone not familiar with the subject. Ravensfire (talk) 19:25, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
Dawood Ibrahim edit revert
Hello Ravensfire, you recently reverted an edit I made to the short description of the Dawood Ibrahim article. I had changed it so that the individual's nationality was clear rather than city of origin, and I added a serial comma. Why did you feel the need to revert this? werewolf (talk) 14:22, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
- Revirvlkodlaku, Mainly it was the terrorist label- see WP:TERRORIST, I also removed it from the lead. The serial comma is kind of a personal preference and I certainly wouldn't have reverted just for that. Ravensfire (talk) 14:25, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
- Oh yes, the terrorist thing, I had forgotten that I included that since I copy/pasted it from the lead. I'll replace Mumbai with Indian once more, if you don't mind. werewolf (talk) 14:29, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
- Revirvlkodlaku, Works for me! I probably should have just editing, not reverted. Apologies for that. Not enough caffeination yet! Ravensfire (talk) 14:31, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
- Lol, no problem, I'm just getting started on that project myself (caffeination, that is) ;) werewolf (talk) 14:33, 27 August 2020 (UTC)

Hey there, could I please trouble you to look at these changes and see if you can make head or tail of them? I left a query for that user on the talk page. I'm confused about how Beyhadh exists and is, I guess, the first season of this show (273 eps), but then this editor divides Beyhadh 2 into two seasons. 74 and 12. Trying to figure out if he's just creating arbitrary divisions or what. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:42, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
- Cyphoidbomb, I've read it, re-read it and am still somewhat befuddled. A 12 episode season? I'd love to hear their explanation on this. Even better, something from a reliable source that even hints at a second season. The US market it's pretty simple, basically a year (usually less) per season. The India television market goes very differently, but this is really confusing. Ravensfire (talk) 19:08, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
- If a "second season" was started, but then ended prematurely because of Covid, I could get that, but isn't Beyhadh 2 the second season of Beyhadh? If so, then Beyhadh 3 is the 12 episodes? I think they just randomly made changes. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:20, 27 August 2020 (UTC)

Parth Samthaan
Parth Samthaan's Wiki is a BLP and it appears that a 'Relationships' section has been added insinuating/citing sources. The actor himself has claimed that he has never been in a relationship with Vikas Gupta. There have been several attempts in the past to vandalize his profile with insinuations abt his sexual orientation resulting in his profile being set to protected status but it appears that it is still ongoing albeit in a different manner. Could you help look into this and have this content removed? Appreciate your help. Ester8888 (talk) 00:44, 2 September 2020 (UTC) Ester8888

I've already warned you about this - again, read WP:NOTVANDAL. As for the link, no, it doesn't add much to articles. Hello U are seriously A Bad administraitor man,On Prithviraj chauhan page there is guys named Rajesh mewari added highly misguidng information about His identity and that too by citing News channel sources revert it back to orginal and stable version and protect this page by editing strong template,This changes only leads to decline in Wiki reliablity. Sir the account " Divya Agarwal " has been redirected to another page and protected. She is a notable actress . I want to create a proper web page for her. Since you are a administrator it's my humble request that you either delete or remove protection from this page. Rjidindiana (talk) 10:31, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
- Rjidindiana, First, I'm an admin and I can't change protection settings. It was added because of a block evading person that can't accept that this person doesn't meet notability requirements. I'm really hoping you aren't that person, because all they've done it make it harder for anyone else to create an article. You've created a draft, that's a good start, now you have to be patient. There are a lot of drafts that need to be reviewed, there's no rush to get it created, so just be patient. Ravensfire (talk) 13:16, 8 September 2020 (UTC)
- I tagged a BUNCH of statements that need sources - there's way too much unsourced right now. Everything that ends with citation needed would be removed if it was a main article. Ravensfire (talk) 13:26, 8 September 2020 (UTC)
No sir I have joined Wikipedia quite recently. It wasn't me. Also where have you tagged the state ments? Are you talking aboutthe draft of page that exists. Rjidindiana (talk) 14:18, 8 September 2020 (UTC)
Sir I have added the required sources. Thanks for helping Rjidindiana (talk) 15:29, 8 September 2020 (UTC)
Rowdy Rathore WP:Overlink
Why have you removed the Links from the Soundtrack for Lyrics and Singers? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mckmckmt (talk • contribs) 19:01, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
- As I mentioned in the summary and you mentioned in the title, it was because of WP:OVERLINK. Generally, the first mention should be linked and the rest should not. My personal rule of thumb of film articles is a bit looser than that - I don't mind a link in the lead and again in the article body (cast section, productio section, soundtrack section - as appropriate for the specifics). Links are there to help draw readers eye to other topics, but when you link everything, they become noise and are ignored. Ravensfire (talk) 21:13, 11 September 2020 (UTC)

Good Witch edits
Your edits in the Good Witch page are not using references correctly. Please review the Wikipedia rules on how to use references before changing it again. Rcarter555 (talk) 23:48, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
- Rcarter555, Oh good grief - you didn't even bother to look at what I did, did you? Nor the number of edits I've done that use references quite extensively. Hey - you wanna stick with your erroneous conclusion? Cool. Go for it. Win friends and stuff. Ravensfire (talk) 23:52, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
I left no spam, so I have no idea what you’re talking about. I see you didn’t make the original edit as I assumed (apologies), but you’re reverting to an incorrect way to use a reference. The first reference in that section is literally just noting “Hallmark Channel”, which is not proper way to use the reference. It is not spam and I’m not sure what makes you think that. Rcarter555 (talk) 23:52, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
- Ahh, but since you get to refer to my edit as vandalism, since you reverted part of a spammers edit, but not everything, clearly you support spam! LOOK at the history - I reverted back to before the spammer. Yes, the ref tag was used wrong. That was there before! Get it yet? Ravensfire (talk) 23:54, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
French IP-Indian articles
Hey there, I saw some of the stuff here. It looks like that 90.* and 37.* are probably the same person, since both seem to geolocate to France, and I think they're likely related to this range, which was previously blocked by Berean, and which also edited that article. Socky
Hey there, this person seems odd, right? Maybe Dimpletisha? I think that user had a fondness for the Indian MTV tripe. The Divya Agarwal article has a sordid history with various socks going back to 2018. KaranSharma0445, Pakistanpedia socks, etc. This new blow-up of anon edits is curious as well. (Maybe to try to defeat a G5 speedy? Or maybe just to shield the main account?) Here that anon creates a link to a currently non-existent article, Shehzad Shaikh, which also has a history of likely UPE. Hmmm... Are they planning something? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 10:22, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
- Cyphoidbomb, no question that's a sock of someone. I don't remember seeing a sock blocked for several of the main socks in a while, which is odd. The Agawal article is just filled with socks, but I can't question that they are notable enough for an article. All of those 2409 IP's are from one of the socks (probably Dimpletisha). There's also a lot of activity on the Bigg Boss articles from 2A01 IP's which I think is KS. The Shaikh article is doing a nice job as a honey pot - given the history of the article, that edit on Bepannah helps conclusively show the 2409 editor is a sock and engaged in promotional activies. Ravensfire (talk) 14:52, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
Edit war
There's a edit war happening at Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2018 TV series) since many weeks by User:AhilyaRai. They consistently revert to a disruptive version removing many properly sourced contents and references with disrupting cast order and other proper stuffs. Despite informing in their talk page, they are not stopping it.
Also while a draft of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 is under development for minimum notability, an non notable article of the same was created by someone later which i redirected as draft is under development for notability. But AhilyaRai removed it and started developing the article again. Similarly, they are not listening or replying properly to anything if told to correct as per Wikipedia policies and are just doing their wish and warring. Please see to it. Thanks Noobie anonymous (talk) 17:58, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
- Noobie anonymous, Whoa, that's not a good luck for either side. No talk page posts since April 2020. Neither side is talking much - [15] for AhilyaRai and [16] for Hectore123. Hectore123's posts are pretty hostile and NOT helpful. I think I'll post something on ANI, asking for full protection for a week to force discussion AND to got some notice on the tone of Hectore123's talk page posts. Ravensfire (talk) 19:52, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
- As for the draft article, there's not too much around that. It happens, roll with it to some extent. I disagree that a season 2 article is needed, and hopefully any reviewer of the draft article will see that. Remember I'm not an admin, I can't do anything differently than you can. Ravensfire (talk) 19:54, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
- Okay, I decided against going to ANI, but left a pretty blunt warning on each talk page, plus a more direct warning on Hectore123's page about personal attacks. Their comments on your talk page were personal attacks and the ones they left on AhilyaRai's page were as well. They need to know that will get them blocked if they continue. Ravensfire (talk) 20:04, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
@Ravensfire:Thanks for looking into this matter. I agree with you. Considering AhilyaRai, they does not reply in their talk page and are not ready for correcting their mistakes in their edits. They simply say a single reason as like no proper grammar in the article and revert Kasautii which also disrupts cast order and removal of reliably sourced informations in production and reception sections and also an image file. I insisted them to retrieve back the removed proper information and order if reverting but they are not listening or replying back and does an edit war. The problem is both do not reply properly in talk pages which results in continuous edit wars of the article without any discussion. Noobie anonymous (talk) 17:45, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
- And considering Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2, it is a spiritual successor of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya as like Beyhadh,Beyhadh 2; Ek Duje Ke Vaaste, Ek Duje Ke Vaaste 2 with a completely different cast and story. Saathiya 2 is actually a remake of Ke Apon Ke Por and the brand name Saathiya is used as the title rather than a new title for the remake. So I say and consider that it is not wrong for both the series to be distinguished under different articles which can be represented as a standalone series like others (and like also above mentioned other spiritual successor series articles) and not considering it as a seasonal series. Hope you get me. Noobie anonymous (talk) 18:00, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
- Now Hectore123 is indefinitely blocked after being reported by User:Abhishek Kasaudhan 123. Noobie anonymous (talk) 18:04, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
- Noobie anonymous, getting a draft into good shape, that can explain those differences and why this isn't a second season, but a different show entirely would help readers not familiar with the show understand that. And that's the entire goal of articles on Wikipedia, right? To help readers not familiar with the topic understand it. Being able to show that reliable sources treat it as a different show will also help. If they are calling it a second season, or a new season, that's a sign that Wikipedia should also reflect that. Ravensfire (talk) 18:05, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
User Hectore123 seemed to be an offensive user and his comments were inflammatory as you can see here. He mostly don't reply and when he does, in an offensive manner which was not expected and is not accepted. Abhishek Kasaudhan 123 (talk) 19:09, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
@Ravensfire: I understand your point. I will see to it. Thanks for explaining. Noobie anonymous (talk) 12:10, 17 October 2020 (UTC)

- CGOV, IMDB is NOT a good source for Wikipedia - see WP:CITEIMDB. The BBC one should work nicely - please remember that Wikipedia takes extra caution around articles that deal with living people, and things like date/place of birth can be pretty sensitive for some people so we absolutely require sources for that information. Article: Divya Agarwal
Sir how can I request a page to be protected from vandalism? The article Divya Agarwal had been created properly and protected but someone removed the protection and made unnecessary edits. Thank you for reverting back the previous version. Can you protect that page?? Minishaliper (talk) 13:42, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
- Minishaliper, WP:RFPP is the page for that request. However, it's not going to be granted for the reasons you've given. You do not WP:OWN a page and cannot unilaterally restrict the content on a page. Editing on Wikipedia works by WP:CONSENSUS and other edits can and will change how you've edited a page. Ravensfire (talk) 13:46, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
- I was trying to revert back the edits that had been made by removing the information but at the same time you made the required edits.I did not intend to remove any info. Isn't protection granted to a page if people keep removing detail which are properly sourced? Yes I do not own the page but I had created the draft earlier.I just want to know why was the protection removed from this page?? Minishaliper (talk) 13:53, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
- Minishaliper, the page has been protected three times, with the most recent about a month ago due to disruptive edits. That last one expired a few days ago. Protection is rarely long-term, only when there is repeated disruption in the article. There were multiple edits from various IP address that were reverting helpful edits without any discussion over and over. That was also happening recently once the protection expired but fortunately stopped. The ideal editing model on Wikipedia is WP:BRD - Boldly make changes, but if you are Reverted, go to the article talk page and Discuss the changes. There are several editors watching that page, so further IP disruption will quickly get handled and if needed, semi-protection added again. Ravensfire (talk) 17:07, 28 October 2020 (UTC)

I made virtually the same change right after you did, and even called it pretentious in my edit summary before getting the edit conflict. You clearly are of superior intellect. I did a Google News search for the phrase and only got 8k hits vs 78k for "child actor", which is what I was going to change it to. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 01:43, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
- Cyphoidbomb, heh heh - I didn't even notice! Yeah, actor works far better. I can't decide if the IP is just a big fan, or a really enthusiastic reputation manager. Ravensfire (talk) 01:58, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
Who Wants To Be a Spammer?
Cost analysis. As far as the sites themselves, it's almost as if someone had a contest to make the worst-looking circa-1998 website. And then there's this cunning stratagem. OhNoitsJamie Talk 14:47, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
- Ohnoitsjamie, it was painful just to go through that site when I was verifying it was fake (hint - if the linked Twitter account has single digits followers, and it's supposed to be the official site of one of the most popular game shows in the country....). That clever plan of theirs - clearly we're all oblivious idiots that wouldn't remember to look at all of their edits. Given the madness of the news cycle, I needed a laugh this morning! - Thank you! I've co-workers that would invite me to their Diwali celebrations and always enjoyed them. It's somewhat sad that the current Covid-19 madness has made such gatherings unwise. But the reasons for the celebration are still the same and the joy and hope for the future still should be spread. Ravensfire (talk) 16:41, 14 November 2020 (UTC)
ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message
Vijay promo team
Hey there, random information: I'm noticing an uptick in disruptive editors trying to inflate articles related to Vijay. If you look at the edit history at Thalaivaa, the last three IPs have all been doing this: 116.93.120.231, 72.140.224.197, 123.215.16.234. The 72.140.* guy tried to use an article published before the film was released to claim that it made ₹150 crore. The 116.93.* guy has been tossing around super-hit labels and making grandiose claims like here, which isn't supported by the source.
Anyway, it's the usual fun. Even though these seem to geolocate to different regions, South Korea, Canada, Philippines, it's quite possible someone found a proxy. Just wanted to bring it to your attention! Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 13:38, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
- Cyphoidbomb, Oh joy! May need a broad swath of semi's to stop this stuff for a bit. Hmmm, maybe page bans on that range? Ravensfire (talk) 15:53, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
- Check this out: 116.93.120.231 adds that Kuruvi "acquired #15 profitable position" with garbage reference as source, then also indicated that the film made ₹1 crore in four days of release, when the source says four weeks. Competence issue, or deliberate lie? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:59, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
- Cyphoidbomb, probably more competence / laziness than anything else. Ravensfire (talk) 18:14, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
- Cyphoidbomb, also keep an eye on DreamyTelenor, I think it's the latest Pakistanpedia or Bttowadch sock. Ravensfire (talk) 19:12, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
- SPI filed under Pakistanpedia, enough similar edits made. Ravensfire (talk) 16:23, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
- I can't tell if there's a difference between the two. They both overlap. I noticed in the Bttowadch there was some indication he was into International broadcast details, including with flagicons, and I see some of that with this guy, who seems to show up in lots of articles both Pakistanpedia and Btt both edit. But htis new guy is also not internally consistent, like here the style of International broadcast is different. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:48, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- I blocked SabeehAbdulSalman as a sock of Bttowadch. Some of the edits looked similar to a prior Btt, including this vs. this. And just like that, my watchlist got 30 pages heavier. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:57, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

Brief me about indicscript
Hi Ravensfire, I have received a message from "Please STOP including titles in Indic script in the infobox and leads for India related articles. It's explained on WP:INDICSCRIPT. You're making others do a lot of cleanup after you create articles and that needs to stop. Listen to the feedback, the extensive feedback, you've been given". Can you please brief me about Indicscript. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vinod1130 (talk • contribs) 13:45, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Vinod1130: You don't know what Indic script is? Even after Ravensfire pointed you to the relevant guideline? What name do you have for this lettering నిన్నే పెళ్లాడతా as found here? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:09, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
- CyphoidbombThanks for reply. That lettering is Telugu language used in that. I will not add any Indic script in further articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vinod1130 (talk • contribs) 09:20, November 25, 2020 (UTC)
- Vinod1130, you know that making this edit right after this post is not helpful. On an article you created, you added the name module around the Indic script name. REALLY?!?! Good grief, you just like wasting other people's time, don't you? Ravensfire (talk) 15:57, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
- Vinod1130, please read the edit summaries when you see edits reverted, there are good reasons they are left and often link to Wikipedia policy and guideline pages you're expected to follow. Ravensfire (talk) 15:52, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
- Good grief Vinod1130 - here [17] you ADDED indic script. JUST after you said
"I will not add any Indic script in further articles"
. So, did you lie, or just, well, something else? Ravensfire (talk) 16:20, 25 November 2020 (UTC)- User:Ravensfire thanks for the reply.. sorry for the inconvinience caused by me. I will correct it in articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vinod1130 (talk • contribs) 11:47, November 25, 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Joanna Thomas
Hello Ravensfire. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Joanna Thomas, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Tricky this one. There is more coverage in RS since she died in unusual circumstances, though whether that's enough to pas WP:N is not relevant to CSD. The original AFD talked a lot about the promotional nature of the article, but now the subject is dead, I'm not sure that applies. This needs to go back to AfD for a new discussion. . Thank you. GedUK 08:53, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
- Ged UK, sounds reasonable to me - thanks for the comment! Ravensfire (talk) 14:24, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
Jeff Anderson (attorney)
You tagged this page with {{Undisclosed paid}}, with no talk-page explanation. I saw nothing in the article history indicating this, so why? Miniapolis 01:22, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- Miniapolis, see Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Jeffrey_Zients. Editor apparently works for a PR firm that "cleansed" a Biden nominee's article, zero disclosure. The article and his company article are wonderful PR pieces, not so good articles. Ravensfire (talk) 01:39, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for the explanation; I've also replied at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jeff Anderson and Associates. I'd be happier if there was another source in addition to Politico, which has been known to lean right. IMO, Jeff Anderson and Associates is not independently notable but Jeff Anderson (attorney) surely is; he's been litigating Catholic Church sexual abuse cases for many years. Poorly-edited articles which meet WP:GNG can be improved; it's what I (and many others) do . Stay well and all the best, Miniapolis 02:41, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
Paraphrasing the original content
My apologies Sir/Madam. I had forgotten to paraphrase the sentence which you had removed from the article Gupta Brothers. The other edit you have made, regarding citation is required for that show being a remake of the Tamil television series, Pandian Stores, was not actually made by me, but by a user 1.38.196.32. I just changed the word remake to loosely based, while referring to the plot of both the shows. However, I will surely provide a reference if I find a reliable resource regarding that statement. --Aleyamma38 (talk) 11:45, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- Aleyamma38, no worries, everyone forgets from time to time on copy-paste. I'm hopeful a source can be found which is why I just tagged it not removed it. Thanks! Ravensfire (talk) 14:45, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- Ravensfire, Thanks a lot Sir/Madam. I have checked for references and got one where it mentions about Khandaan, the name which was previously proposed for Gupta Brothers where it shows the theme of Gupta Brothers is the same as Tamil television series, Pandian Stores. Though, it is not explicitly said in the article/source. A close study proves it. I'm using it as a reference for the time being, however I have not removed the tag placed by you. I will remove it only when I'm able to provide a better reference for it. Once again, Thanks a lot Sir/Madam.

Orly Taitz Conspiracy Theorist?
You reverted my corrections to a page referencing Orly Taitz as a conspiracy theorist stating that my comments were biased and did not adhere to the rules of neutrality? Is the article I edited neutral... or is it overtly biased?
What part of neutral is "conspiracy theorist" in reference to Orly Taitz? Clearly, she felt like so many others that her voting rights were compromised by a fraudulent candidate that was never properly vetted for Office.
FACT: Obama's campaign forged signatures in Indiana and other states, where he did not have enough signatures to get his name on the ballot. In Indiana, it is well documented that his campaign did not have enough when the forged signatures were removed, yet his name appeared on the ballot anyway. [1] [2] FACT: President Obama could not pass a simple background check because he has an SSN that was previously assigned to someone else, from a state (Connecticut) that he was never resident in. [3] FACT: The State of Hawaii initially refused to confirm Obama's eligibility. They also never confirmed that the document Obama posted on the White House website was a scan of the original document in their possession. They could only state that the information on the White House website was the same as the information they had on record. [4] FACT: Nancy Pelosi modified her endorsement of Obama and removed the wording that referenced him as "legally qualified to serve under the provisions of the United States Constitution" from her original endorsement. [5] FACT: All cases submitted against Obama were dismissed on technical and procedural grounds. No court has ever ruled Obama eligible. FACT: Much of the information derogatory about Obama has been stripped from popular Search engines as evidenced by numerous broken links, accounts that were shut down for alleged violations, etc.
It is incumbent on someone running for office to prove that they are eligible should the public question their eligibility. Obama used forged documents to establish his identity and eligibility. Forged documents are not proof of eligibility. It is NOT the public's responsibility to prove a potential candidate ineligible, yet that is what Orly Taitz was required to do and the courts didn't even give her that chance.
By the rules, Obama SHOULD have been a write-in candidate in the states where his campaign forged enough signatures to get him on the ballot, and that almost certainly means he would have lost the Primary to Clinton, whose campaign likewise forged signatures --except that they had enough valid ones when the forged signatures were removed. To establish his identity and eligibility, Obama submitted computer-generated documents that he alleged were scans of original documents. He avoided the issue of his long-form birth certificate and put it off for four years by hiding behind privacy concerns and legal technicalities. Why would Nancy Pelosi go through that trouble to modify her endorsement when the standard DNC endorsement she initially used had been in use for decades? And why specifically did she remove just the two words, "constitutionally qualified." Was she in doubt? Or was she trying to cover her butt in case the truth came out? She's a lawyer... Sheriff Joe Arpaio was approached by voters from Surprise, Arizona who complained that their voting rights were being violated because they had a Constitutionally unqualified candidate on the ballot. Arpaio put together a team of professional forensic analysts and investigated. He believed he would find no substance to the allegations, but the more he investigated the more evidence he uncovered indicating impropriety. It was the determination of his forensics team that the documents Obama claimed were scans of original documents were in fact manufactured on a computer. Two forensic labs, one in the U.S. and one in Europe arrived independently at the same conclusion. It wasn't until Donald Trump threatened to investigate him that Obama finally came out with an alleged long-form birth certificate, and it too was determined to be a computer generated forgery. I personally downloaded the documents right after Obama had them uploaded and confirmed myself the problems with it and indeed there was no other explanation than that they were created on a computer and that human intervention was involved. I attended the Navy's top level avionics school and understand how scanners work - inside and out. You could turn the background on and off. You could pick up the signature and move it around. The layers were not organized in a manner consistent with a scan. The team was correct in their analysis and there are videos available of them presenting their evidence. They even were able to determine some of the documents used to create the forged long form birth certificate.
Taitz sued and the courts ruled against Taitz saying she did not have jurisdiction. Not once were the facts Taitz presented disputed and proven false. Her cases were dismissed on technical and procedural grounds, and in the case of the Supreme Court, her case was simply rejected. [Apparently, they felt it wasn't worth their time.] Candidates for POTUS can not be assumed eligible unless the public can prove they are not, yet that's exactly what happened. That doesn't make it right.
To call attention to these problems does not make one a conspiracy theorist... In the same way calling attention to the massive election fraud we have just witnessed in the 2020 General Election does not make one a conspiracy theorist; it makes them a conspiracy REALIST. It seems you have a personal bias and that you allow it to affect your judgment as to what does and does not constitute neutrality. FACTS are neutral. The original article is clearly NOT neutral.

Irritated IPv6
Hey there, so the irritated IPv6 editor who tried to pick a fight with me on my talk page a bunch of hours ago appears to now have an account as RYLELT7. I only noticed that because Rylelt7 deleted the entire discussion thread from my talk page. While they were doing that, I was leaving a lengthy notice on their talk page, unaware that they were the same person. In the warning, I admonish them for adding content that was not supported by the references. Some of it was entirely fabricated. Is that just a strange bit of irony, or did they deliberately delete the references as retribution for some other time I deleted their contribution and said "content isn't supported by the source". Hmmm... Anyway. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:54, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
- Cyphoidbomb, there's a chip on their shoulder without a question. Pushy, aggressive and only interested in their edits remaining as written. Ravensfire (talk) 01:21, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
Feedback on edits removed because source deemed unverified
Good day.
Thanks for your feedback. It's true that blogs are self-published but the major concern is the content and information within. The source is from a blog but the information contained is very true and very much verifiable from any source. We shouldn't wait for the big names to update Wikipedia on much needed old information, keeping our users in the dark.
My source is also a News blog and Wikipedia have sources cited from other News blogs too, as approved in Wikipedia Reliable Sources
Additionally, can I provide citations for my information from my source as well as other verified source already on Wikipedia?
Thank you. --Coachtoks (talk) 13:55, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- Coachtoks, my suggestion would be to ask at the Reliable Source noticeboard about that site, as I don't see anyway that site is acceptable for Wikipedia. There's no evidence of an editorial board. Articles are written by anonymous authors. It's a typical blog without the oversite that larger, more established news blogs have. Ravensfire (talk) 14:47, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

Regarding removing content
Why did you remove the content that i kept for a review , these content were said by Aranthangi nisha by her own self so here i am not making false infos like you , now revert your edit and give me back all those infos . — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jaya Soorya 24 (talk • contribs) 05:30, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
- Jaya Soorya 24, welcome to Wikipedia! I've left you a welcome message that has a lot of good, useful links that will help as you create and edit articles. On your draft article, I removed that information because it didn't have reliable sources cited. See, Wikipedia depends on secondary sources that aren't connected to the subject to support information in articles. Having links to those sources means that readers can read those sources when they aren't sure about our articles and verify for themselves what we've got. When those sources aren't present, a reader can't know that the information in the article is correct. Think about it - you aren't on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to answer reader questions - I know I'm not - I'm on-call enough for my job! So having those sources is critical. HELP:CITE is a could page on how to add those source to articles.
- Something I do need to mention though - you've again removed the draft comments from the article and resubmitted. Please don't remove declined submission notes and reviewer comments. First, every edit is part of the page history and reviewers DO look at that history. It can look like you're hiding something when you remove those comments. Second, those comments help reviewers note what prior reviews have called out as needing work, so they can look for those specific improvements. That helps reduce the time taken for each article. Removing them doesn't help the draft's chances at all, it can only hurt. It's also considered disruptive. Please don't do that again. Thanks! Ravensfire (talk) 06:44, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
- Also, you've essentially resubmitted the article without addressing ANY of the concerns raised by the reviewer. That's not really a good idea, don't you think? Problems have been identified and rather than fix them, you're just insisting they be ignored? That doesn't work well on Wikipedia. Please reconsider. Ravensfire (talk) 06:48, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
