instead of vandalising the page by removing the cfd tag, vote on Wikipedia:Categories for deletion to help save it! Mayumashu 01:30, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

consider this an administrator warning not to remove cfd tags out of process as you did on Category:Argentine immigrants to Canada. Not only did you remove the cfd out of process, but you also de-categorized the category from its parents. Further disruption to XfD processes could lead to you being blocked from editing the encyclopedia. Syrthiss 12:50, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Change to Cornelia Rau

[edit]

No comment or edit summary about your change to the article? Can you please discuss your actions on the talk page for Cornelia Rau or, better yet, here: Wikipedia:Australian Wikipedians' notice board#Immigrant categories (because I really want to know what's going on with these immigrant/emigrant categories). Thank you. — Donama

Spanish Brazilians are people who were born in Brazil, of Spanish descent; or people who came from Spain to Brazil to live and work. Brazilian Spaniards are people who were born in Spain, of Brazilian descent; or people who came from Brazil to Spain to live and work. This is a list of articles about such people. Matt86hk talk 13:33, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Denilson, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo.... etc were born in Brazil of spanish descent, the ancestry in second place, never in first place, therefore are spanish-brazilians.
Greetings. Raymond Cruise 14:05, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Roberto Carlos and Denilson granted for Spanish passport because they lived in Spain for years. The other are unconfirmed. If they both came from Brazil and have Spanish descent. They should in both Category. Matt86hk talk 14:12, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Daniel and Julio Cesar applied for Spain passport in Seville, which wait much short than the capital. So Both consider to add in Category:Brazilian Spaniards, which Commonly known they get Spain passport by live for years. I don't think norminal people will known descent of Brazilian, unless by DNA test and find their gradfa is a Spanish or not. Just like American, but American is easier beacuse they keep their culture, and married same ethnic. BUT Brazilian is not. Matt86hk talk 15:03, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You dont convince me.
Go to the next category Category:Italian-Brazilians, some are demonstrated that they are Italian?
Equal. Greetings.
Raymond Cruise 15:11, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Argentine, Uruguayan and Brazilian got Itlain passport immediately if they really are Itlain descent. It is difficult to use fake doc. Veron, Dida, Cafu, Recoba were fined.
ALBERT CELADES was born in Andorra but have Spain passport too.
Useless you go to your nearest council to check the application policy, it is difficult to tell they got passport by Spanish descent and/or they notable, lived in Spain for years.
Matt86hk talk 15:35, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Rüştü Reçber got Spanish passport too, but he have Spanish descent? NO!
Go to check Donato have Spansih descent or not.
Matt86hk talk 00:12, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I just know one expection, Mark González, because he got Spanish passport less than 2 years. Matt86hk talk 00:40, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Another exception. Diego Forlán. People with Spanish descent got passport much faster. Matt86hk talk 00:51, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Juan Manuel Peña, born in Bolivia, also non-Spanish descent got Spanish passport. Matt86hk talk 01:30, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

International Squad Templates

[edit]

Just said I would tell you about this. A trend has started on wikipedia lately of doing each country's world cup squad going back for years. This is turning into a bit of a problem as certain players have played in numerous world cups. Just look at Paolo Maldini

My solution is redoing these international templates with a "Hide" features. I've done a very basic job on one of them below.

{{World Cup Squads}}

I'm not as yet able to add the country's flags or increase the size of the writing. I'm not able to change the colour of "Hide" either. Just wondering if you want to have a go at improving it so it can be used in articles ?

If you want to contribute please post your replies at the discussion section at Template:World Cup Squads as there could be a number of people contributing to this.

Thanks

Atleticopedia Project

[edit]

Hello Raymond,

my name is André Kahle and I am the president of the Pena Atletica Centuria Germana, the german Atletico Madrid Pena. We work together with the site Atletico Zone, the international fan base of Atlético. We started a project called Atleticopedia and therefore I need your help. Maybe it is possible for you to give me your eMail Adress. My eMail is andre@atleticomadrid.de

It would be great to get in contact with you!

Thanks André Kahle

André Kahle, I feel thankful of your proposition, but i am not a great fan of Atletico de Madrid. My club in Real Madrid.

Thanks you. Greetings.

Well yes, I found that out, but that won't be a problem for me :) We are just bulding up a wiki about Atlético Madrid (http://wiki.atleticomadrid.de/en) but we are not so good in it ... ans thats why we looking out for people who might help us. (No adding content, but helping with the structure or the templates) And you looked perfect for that. :) Thats why I asked, but if you don't want to, or don't have the time, it is for sure no problem. But maybe you know somebody to help us?! André Kahle

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cercanías Málaga.gif. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --wangi 12:29, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove the {{no licence}} notice on the image without adding a correct copyright tag (see Wikipedia:Image copyright tags). There is nothing on http://www.renfe.es/ releasing the image under a GFDL licence. Thanks/wangi 12:36, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

La Liga Results

[edit]

Hi Raymond. I see you're putting up the results on a week by week basis for La Liga. Just saying that for Serie A, we're using a results box, as is being used for the Premier League.

Just thought it might be useful to also add the box to the La Liga 06/07 page to see results easier.

If you want to use it, I've put a blank copy of it on my home page.

Please not that the grid doesn't show up on my homepage, but will show up on the pages it is used on.

Thanks.

There's no evidence that Shakira is Spanish. Both her parents are Lebanese and she was born in Colombia. Please unblock me, i am desperate

[edit]

What are you doing you have messed a bunch of pages up. Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 16:34, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You need to stop you are destrying page histories if you need to move pages to a page that alleady exist I can help you do that correctly but the copy-paste that you are doing is wrong please stop. If you contine destorying page histories I will have to block. Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 17:01, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am blocked. Betacommand, unblock me please, I will not return to vandalise.

Why did you continue to redirect pages and copy/paste them? Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 20:13, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I dont know, these teams name are wrong, i am from spain ,i know it, I come collaborating in wikipedia from 2004. Please. is the first time that happens to me.

If you need to move pages there is a move tab at the top of the page. And if the target page exist let an administrator know so that we can delete the page that you are trying to move to. If you notice when you copy pasted the pages you took the credit from other wikipedians who wrote it and copy/pasted it as your own. To prevent this in the future please use the Move tab, or ask me or another admin. we are glad to help. Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 20:26, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

But, why I am blocked?? Can you unblocked? please please...!!

the reason that you were blocked was because you were improperly attempting to move/redirect pages. yes I can unblock but I want to make sure you understand why you were blocked in the first place to that it does not happen again. Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 20:39, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please!! but, what I do then? i was in other projects,, i have to update these projects,, you understand it? please.. I have requested you pardon, unblocked me already!, I promise to you that I will not destroy more the names of the teams.. please.

I am just trying to make sure you understand the reason that you were blocked. Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 21:03, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Still I am blocked,, when I am unblocked?,,, please,, unblocked already,,, please please,my God!!!

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Betacommand, i am repentanced, I ask pardon all the people

Betacommand, i show that i understand i did

you say you understand what you did, but before you are unblocked please in your own words explain what you did and why you should not have done it. Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 21:57, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I did It because I thought that the names of the teams that I put were the correct ones, but if they not are , I request pardon. but if your you do not want to unblock to me, does not pass nothing., I have already said the causes to you, if you do not unblock to me I go away.

I do not know if those are the proper pages or not. That is not why you were blocked. The reason that you were blocked was because of the fact that in attempting to change the page names you destroyed the page histories. and when I kindly pointed this out and asked you to stop you didn't. I then gave you a final warning and asked you to stop a second time, yet again you refused. That is why I had to block you. Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 22:38, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

--Sagaciousuk (talk) 22:57, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Género chico‎

[edit]

Does Género chico (I have no idea why that link isn't working: [3]) really belong in Category:Spanish folk music? Zarzuela is not folk music any more that opera is folk music. It is professionally composed theatrical music. Some tunes have passed into the folk tradition but, again, one can say the same of opera. - Jmabel | Talk 07:50, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

La Liga and Serie A deletion

[edit]

You better have a look at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/La Liga 2006/2007 results December 2006. Basically a non footballing wikipedian has nominated the detailed results sections of Serie A and La Liga for deletion along with the goalscorers sections for both of these league. I'm personally totally against them being deleted. I've voted to keep the pages and I just thought I'd highlight this as you might want to vote either way on this. Gipuzkoa/Guipuscoa

[edit]

Hi. I noticed that you just moved Guipuscoa to Gipuzkoa. I don't mean to judge that but I'd rather suggest you to pass by the undergoing general discussion on a proposed guideline for Basque toponyms (Wikipedia:WikiProject Basque/Basque toponyms) so we may reach some sort of general consensus on this difficult issue.

Btw, do you think that Guipuscoa is not a valid English name? Why? --Sugaar 06:47, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
