License tagging for File:Hi Res NEW HEADSHOT.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Hi Res NEW HEADSHOT.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Rcchildrenslibrarian. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Roshani Chokshi, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. You have uploaded a picture of the author and tagged it as your own work, which makes me wonder if you have a conflict of interest. Tacyarg (talk) 22:36, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I am Roshani's assistant. Her husband took the photo, and it is her official author headshot as seen on her and her publisher's websites. She asked me to upload the photo to wikipedia, as the photo that was up was not an official headshot and was taken at an event. I have never uploaded a photo to Wikipedia before, and was not aware that I had done it wrong. Can you please help me fix it so that this is her photo on Wikipedia? Rcchildrenslibrarian (talk) 14:37, 10 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, as you have a conflict of interest you shouldn't edit the article directly - you can propose changes on the article's Talk page. WP:BOSS might also be a useful read. For the image, her husband will need to release it under a Creative Commons licence; you could ask on the WP:TEAHOUSE for more information. Tacyarg (talk) 14:59, 10 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Do you also have a conflict of interest for the article on Lydia Kang? Thanks. Tacyarg (talk) 17:46, 10 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

October 2023[edit]

Please be careful when adding references. You have made Lydia Kang appear to be the author of all the references in the article about her as you have included last=Kang, first=Lydia. You might find referencing for beginners helpful. Please also see my question above about whether you have a conflict of interest on this article. Tacyarg (talk) 19:12, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
