Question
In a routine check of my deleted contributions I an article that got the axe a while back. It was apparently done via request for undeletion on G13 grounds - which is fine, articles for the most part deserve a second chance at life - however what caught my attention was the requesting account. The requesting account was BiochemistryMajor2016, while a previous version I had tagged and seen deleted on copyvio grounds came on site again when CCFT Historian published the article. If you look at the contributions between the two I see both seem interested in this particular person, and both versions of the article use the same imageamd when I take a closer look at CCFT Historian and BiochemistryMajor2016, the latter made the unblock request but the former claims the first edit for creation according to the logs, both accounts it seems are claiming this as their first article, which could suggest foul play. I'm concerned about copyright, but right now I'm interested in whether or not you think you may have socks here or if i'm just being paranoid? TomStar81 (Talk) 09:49, 24 September 2022 (UTC)

There's a decent possibility it could be the same person, however I will note that BiochemistryMajor2016 last edited in 2020 and CCFT Historian started this year. It's possible that they may have forgotten the PW for the previous account. If you think that there's good reason to suspect that the other relatively new accounts editing the page are the same editor, you could bring that up to SPA. I'll try to weigh in on the discussion to help explain guidelines and so on to the users, as well as weed through the sourcing. WikiCup 2022 November newsletter
The 2022 WikiCup has drawn to a close with the final round going down to the wire. The 2022 champion is
Lee Vilenski (1752 points), who won in 2020 and was runner up in both 2019 and last year. In the final round he achieved 3 FAs and 15 GAs, mostly on cue sports. He was closely followed by
Bloom6132 (1732), who specialised in "In the news" items and DYKs, and who has reached the final round of the Cup for the past three years. Next was
BennyOnTheLoose (1238), another cue sports enthusiast, also interested in songs, followed by
Muboshgu (1082), an "In the news" contributor, a seasoned contestant who first took part in the Cup ten years ago. Other finalists were
Sammi Brie (930), who scored with a featured article, good articles and DYKs on TV and radio stations,
Kavyansh.Singh (370), who created various articles on famous Americans, including an FA on Louis H. Bean, famed for his prediction of election outcomes. Next was

During the WikiCup, contestants achieved 37 featured articles, 349 good articles, 360 featured article reviews, 683 good article reviews and 480 In the news items, so Wikipedia has benefited greatly from the activities of WikiCup competitors. Well done everyone! All those who reached the final round will receive awards and the following special awards will be made, based on high performance in particular areas of content creation and review. So that the finalists do not have an undue advantage, these prizes are awarded to the competitor who scored the highest in any particular field in a single round, or the overall leader in this field.

Hello, ReaderofthePack. I'm back again after months of inactivity. After I logged in with a computer than runs Windows 11 (due to the fact that Windows 7 had its support ended by 2023 and I used to edit with a computer that runs the latter one) and reverted the skin to Vector Legacy (because Vector (2022) as Wikipedia's default skin makes me uncomfortable when reading texts and attempting to search anything), I want to inform you about a sockpuppeteer.
I remember that I was less active in Wikipedia because I was busy. One day, an user that is a fan of both Amphibia and Jurassic Parkmerely added a template claiming that it is written from a fan's point of view and submitted my draft again, only to have this unexpected submission declined. In response, I had sent a message in this user's talk page where I asked for explanations. Despite receiving my message, the user disregarded my advices and continued to attempt to turn drafts into live articles without taking any considerations, as well as uploading copyright files to excess. As a result, the user's contributions proved to be their undoing by being blocked.
After this user was blocked, the user became a sockpuppeter in order to resume their attempt to turn drafts into live articles, regardless of their conditions. Yesterday, the user used an IP address to unexplainably remove text that indicated when the short film André appeared was released. This turns out to be my last straw, as I didn't hesitate to denounce this sockpuppeteer's actions by complaining about its behaviour.
I don't think that blocking this IP address is sufficient to stop this once for all. It is important to revert the sockpuppets' edits to the last revision prior to this. In addition, the sockpuppeteer deserves a topic ban. What do you think of this situation?--AndrétheAndroid(talk) 18:20, 21 January 2023 (UTC)

@ReaderofthePack: I understand your situation, but an admin has already blocked said IP address and I am taking in consideration about reverting the edit myself, as nobody has vowed to undo this revision. After reverting this edit, I will attempt to improve the draft by either replacing "The Graphics Group" with "Lucasfilm Computer Graphics" or adding an URL of an archived snapshot of the official The Pixar Touch web page (due to the fact that most of the content is redirected to a page about the namesake book from the author's official web).
Although the rare André & Wally B. image that showed how the "teardrop" shape is created hasn't been archived at all, I still have a copy of this file and I think I might upload it once the draft becomes a live article in the near future. Besides, there is a page of investigations about this user and their sockpuppets where any admin can inform everyone about any potential sockpuppet. So, I'll take care of looking for any potential sockpuppet of this user to inform you.--AndrétheAndroid(talk) 18:46, 1 February 2023 (UTC)

@ReaderofthePack: I initially thought it wasn't neccesary to move the draft to its former title but, as I see that you made this justification in both this section and the edit summary of each move, I'm glad that you move the draft for its safety.
Aside of this safety measure for drafts, have you read the draft? I said that I find the "fan's point of view" template being tagged on it questionable because I don't see more content noticeably considered fancruft aside of the mention of a cancelled fan animated series that had its teaser trailer removed for unknown reasons. Therefore, I need to let me know if there are more issues in the draft. If there are no content that is considered fancruft in the draft, then it's possible to remove said template for not meeting the criteria.
By the by, I noticed that there is an IP address that not only edits pages related to this article about a particular Amphibia character, but also has recreated a draft about Melody, a character from The Little Mermaid II, and resumed editing drafts related to Jurassic Park. I deduced that this IP address is a sockpuppet by said sockmaster, and it seems that this sockmaster will have their own "Long-term abuse" report sooner or later. So ends the first round of the 2023 WikiCup. Everyone with a positive score moved on to Round 2, with 54 contestants qualifying. The top scorers in Round 1 were:
Unlimitedlead with 1205 points, a WikiCup newcomer, led the field with two featured articles on historical figures and several featured article candidate reviews.
Epicgenius was in second place with 789 points; a seasoned WikiCup competitor he specialises in buildings and locations in New York.
FrB.TG was in third place with 625 points, garnered from a featured article on a filmmaker which qualified for an impressive number of bonus points.
TheJoebro64, another WikiCup newcomer, came next with 600 points gained from two featured articles on video games.
Iazyges was in fifth place with 532 points, from two featured articles on classical history.
These contestants, like all the others, now have to start again from scratch. The first round finished on February 26. Remember that any content promoted after that date but before the start of Round 2 can be claimed in Round 2. Some contestants made claims before the new submissions pages were set up, and they will need to resubmit them. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. Hey. I know this was CCFT's article, but I also contributed to it. It's "Matthew Kenslow." I know he's getting closer to having a wikipedia page if not satisfied aready. He is now verified on Instagram with over 1 million followers and 80 thousand on Youtube. How much more notable do you need to be??? Plus he's back in the news. Check these recent stories out but know this isn't everything (see below #3):
He was on ABC7 Los Angeles but I only found it on his Youtube channel. If it'll help reinstate this article, type "ON ABC7 LOS ANGELES NEWS | CDC Says Prevalence of Autism is Increasing | Early Intervention is Key" on his channel.
I managed to find more articles of him on yahoo, insider, bloomberg, digital journal, market watch and much more but I know you'd might say that's all fluff so I'm not including those. He also got on a couple small podcasts but you might not consider those either but I have a link saved if you want.
I hope he satisfied the requirements or at least is close. I still keep a close eye on Matthew's influence. If it was up to me I would reinstate him due to how much influence and coverage he got since last year.
