Welcome![edit]

Hello, RebeccaCharlottePeace, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited was Draft:Rebecca Peace (musician), which appears to be an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Hi. I’m an industry professional so how do I go about having my own professional page on here? Thank you RebeccaCharlottePeace (talk) 00:16, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The short answer is you don't. It is a common misconception, but Wikipedia is not a web host for "professional pages" or a a place to write about yourself. It is an encyclopedia comprised of articles of notable subjects that are supported by reliable sources. Best, GPL93 (talk) 00:42, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I have notable credits. How do other creatives get a page made then? RebeccaCharlottePeace (talk) 09:16, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

My manager instructed me to find out how to get a page up RebeccaCharlottePeace (talk) 09:16, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Any advice would be much appreciated RebeccaCharlottePeace (talk) 09:20, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

People unconnected with the subject write encyclopedia articles. See WP:AUTOBIO and WP:COI and WP:PAID, please. It's pretty clear you are using Wikipedia for promotion. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 13:56, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Peaceofcak3managment, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia[edit]

Subjects of encyclopedia articles must meet notability requirements such as WP:ANYBIO. "All content must be cited from reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and have a reputation for fact checking." --Deepfriedokra (talk) 14:01, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
