Jeanette Schmid
[edit]Please edit the article if you think it is an essay/fan site etc, rather than simply sticking various notices on it. --Roisterer 12:11, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- Without wanting to make a saga out of this as I'm sure we both have better things to do with our time, I thought I'd raise some issues. First, in answer to my above question, you replied "Sadly, that's not how Wikipedia works." But editors working together to edit an article is exactly what Wikipedia is all about. Have I misunderstood your statement? I hope so.
Second, in your response, you add "I do know when something is making outrageous and unverified claims." What claims are outrageous or unverified? As you can see, I have provided two sources, which verify the claims.
Third, you argued that the article is a a) copy vio (presumably of the Sydney Morning Herald article listed in the references, b) a resume and c) fan site. If it's a copy vio, then I can't see how it can be either or both of the others as one doubts that the SMH would be posting a resume or fancruff in its obituary section. I indeed never heard of Ms Schmid until I read her obituary and have no great interest in her beyond thining that she would be notable enough for an article.
Fourth, you state "Wikipedia is not a place for you to tell the world your personal opinions. One newspaper artical is not a reliable source, and you need MORE than the original author to insure verifiablility)"
They are not my personal opinions; please list some of the points you believe to be personal opinions and we can work on them. I have listed two sources and I am not sure what you mean by "you need more than the original author to insure verifiability". Who do you mean by "the original author" in this case? --Roisterer 13:06, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

An Automated Message from HagermanBot
[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! HagermanBot 20:23, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit]SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 16:03, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Tribunal
[edit]Good news, Rebent! I've excised the plot info from the Tribunal section of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind' article, as you so kindly requested. I think I'm only a few brief CEs away from FAC. Wish me luck! Geuiwogbil 22:32, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- It's okay, I understand. Thanks for your comments on the Tribunal plot section! They're better than anything I've yet had in regular old PR. ^_^ Geuiwogbil 22:39, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
Talk:Spam (Monty Python)
[edit]The point of talk pages is to discuss improvement of the article they're attached to. Offtopic remarks can be removed. See Wikipedia:Talk_page_guidelines#How_to_use_article_talk_pages. Kusma (talk) 14:54, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
Please do not use talk pages such as Talk:Spam (Monty Python) for general discussion of the topic. They are for discussion related to improving the article. They are not to be used as a forum or chat room. See here for more information. Thank you. -- lucasbfr talk 08:22, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
In addition, please remember that wikilawyering is discouraged, and that distrupting wikipedia (to make a point or otherwise) is prohibited. If you persist you might run into admins that use another part of the policy to give you a new perspective, for a while. Best wishes CharonX/talk 15:33, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Morrowind FA
[edit]Actually, i think it is. Look here, first entry on the FA Log page: Wikipedia:Featured_article_candidates/Featured_log/May_2007#The_Elder_Scrolls_III:_Morrowind. Raul moved it to the FA logs just this afternoon. It's in WP:FA#Computers_and_video_games, too. It's just that GimmeBot hasn't come around with the tags yet. It seems like the completion of the FA process consists of a series of steps, as different databases are updated by different bots and users. Or at least, that's what I'm thinking. The Wikiproject Video Games has it on their list, too. It's weird how the FA tag bot hasn't come around yet, but it seems uncouth to do any front-end edits personally before those talk page tags are automatically added. Thanks for your concern, by the way! Geuiwogbil 23:17, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Lackadaisy picture
[edit]Hello. I just replaced the lackadaisy picture's license you uploaded to a fair use license because I didn't found a written proof of the license through gfdl. I emailed Tracy about that and expect to have a "GFDL" or CC-By-Sa license answer to paste at Wikipedia:Successful requests for permission and send for archive at the wikipedia fondation. -- 70.50.181.2 05:28, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks! I talked to her on IM via the address she has listed on lackadaisycats.com and she told me I could use pretty much any images from her site. But I've never done wikipedia copyrights before so I am not sure how it's supposed to be done. --Rebent 06:09, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Errr I just discovered I forgot to log in when commenting. Well I'm waiting her answer :).
- Ok it's done under gfdl now and the permission is archived. Cheers :). -- Esurnir 03:28, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
