Also, could you please explain to me why my username is red? I’m confused by what it means.

RecRoomBoy537 (talk) 17:44, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

RecRoomBoy537 User names appear red if the Users have not added any content to their User page. Once that is done, name appears blue. Having content on one's User page is not required. See Wikipedia:User pages for guidance on what can and cannot be on a User page. Many people add Userboxes to their User pages. David notMD (talk) 17:48, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) Good job with the signature. You don't need to put it on a new line. The post I put above is a standard template but I do think the links are useful. The reason your name comes up in red is that you haven't written anything on your user page yet. There's no need to do so and appearing in red is no mark of shame. If you do put something there - a brief description of who you are, perhaps, or what you're interested in working on when it comes to Wikipedia - Wikipedia:User pages might be useful. You're always welcome at the Teahouse if you have more questions. › Mortee talk 17:50, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Thanks for the help and i think that I’ll add something to my user page because i think that might be useful to people viewing my user page. Thanks for all of the help! RecRoomBoy537 (talk) 18:47, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Directing people to your website is one of those things you are not supposed to do on your User page. David notMD (talk) 00:21, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Oh sorry. Does it count if it is just a website that i like? Otherwise i will delete it. RecRoomBoy537 (talk) 17:38, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No website promotion/linking/naming. David notMD (talk) 17:53, 1 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ohhhhhhh. Ok, I’ll change it RecRoomBoy537 (talk) 14:20, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, thank you for letting me know! RecRoomBoy537 (talk) 15:57, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

You seem like a helpful new user that wants to help find vandalism. Have you seen Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit? It is a good place to start. Also check out Wikipedia:Cleanup. TigerScientist Chat 16:14, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
