Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Royal family of Emesa, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Semitic (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Speedy deletion nomination of Thomas F. Darcy Jr.[edit]

Hello Recruos,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Thomas F. Darcy Jr. for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Thomas F. Darcy Jr. moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Thomas F. Darcy Jr., does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your page to draft space (with a prefix of Draft: before the article title) where you can work on it with minimal disruption. When you feel that it meets our notability and neutrality requirements, and is thus ready for mainspace, please submit it using the Articles for Creation template on the page. You are more than welcome to continue making quality contributions to Wikipedia. If your account is more than four days old and you have made at least 10 edits you can create articles yourself without posting a request. However, you may continue submitting work to Articles for Creation if you prefer.

Thank you for helping improve Wikipedia!

Notice

The article Archbishop Elpidophoros of America has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Expand with sources to establish its independent notability or redirect to Greek_Orthodox_Archdiocese_of_America

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. 94rain Talk 16:23, 25 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of Santiago and All Chile has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This entirely unreferenced article is on a local diocese of an already small offshoot of the Greek Orthodox Church. An extensive BEFORE fails to find any references to add to the article and WP:NCHURCH only affords inherent notability for church buildings, not congregations. This would almost certainly be deleted at AfD.

A tag has been placed on Category:1958 disestablishments in Syria requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Roman Law school of Beirut[edit]

Hi, this is an attempt to stop the unproductive edits and counter edits. The lead's alternative names passage is supposed to reflect common alternative names based on literature (not just one source). 'aka' is not "how i would like to call the defunct institution because i think Berytan brings more variety to the lead".

I have never prevented nor pretended to be able to stop anyone from editing this article. I am restoring the previous version bcs the names there are based on multiple literature sources. The article passed stringent peer reviews and the purpose of the 'aka' part is clear. On a side note i don't appreciate your tone, I contribute with the level of english i am capable of, I am quadrilingual which i assume is more than most editors can claim here. I also believe that my level of english is well enough cos i have managed, maybe by pure luck, to drive articles to GA and FA status. I encourage you to maintain some level of civility and self-respect and not to engage in personal attacks. Attempting to belittle others' intellect never ends well. i hope I wont' have to take this trifling dispute over a word to arbitration. Have yourself a very Merry Christmas ~ Elias Z. (talkallam) 13:33, 27 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Also please note that while Berytan as adjective is used very sparingly (as demonstrated by this google search results page that excludes hits related to Berytan the music band); the source you cited passingly assigns the adjective Berytan to the school : "school of Roman law at Berytus...". This does not constitute an alternative name. ~ Elias Z. (talkallam) 14:20, 27 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:19, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Antakya (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This disambiguation page contains the primary topic and one other topic for the ambiguous title and no other topics can be found within a reasonable time.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:01, 24 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
