Creating redirects

[edit]

Hi Reddi94!!! It looks like you just tried to create a redirect from ""Adegarahalli"" to Adhegarahalli. In the future, you can create a redirect simply by creating a new page and typing "#REDIRECT [[Target page name]]". Please let me know if you have further questions, and happy editing!--Bad edits r dumb (talk) 08:27, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Don't be deterred!

[edit]

Hello, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia to which we all contribute, so your username is enough signature. It is not a blog or advertising medium or an article about your family, so I have made a few changes to your contributions BUT Welcome and your (and now our) article is coming along quite nicely. Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Adhegarahalli. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Adhegarahalli

[edit]

Despite your edits to the Adhegarahalli article, it still looks like an essay. Any article on wikipedia should read like an encyclopedia. I suggest you to have a look at some FA's (Bangalore, Mysore; former FA: Delhi) and make some necessary changes to Adhegarahalli as well. I have tagged it again for being essay-like. Even after making necessary changes to conform to wikipedia standards, please do not remove the tag (as you did previously). The article should be reviewed by another editor and if he/she feels, the issue raised (essay-like in this case) has been solved, then the editor would remove the tag. I do not know anything about the place, else I would have done it myself which is why I am asking you to make the changes. —Abhishek191288 (talk) 05:38, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Adegarahalli. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Despite your changes, this section still looks like a promotion of the place. It also sounds essay like. Please follow a proper manual of style when you make any edits to an article. Please have a look at well written articles like Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore, etc to get an idea how to write the same for Adegarahalli. BTW I moved the article to Adegarahalli coz per the Kannada name, the previous title is a wrong spelling of the place. Abhishek191288 (talk) 05:38, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
