Your Goals in Wikipedia[edit]

It appears that your objective is to have articles on yourself and the members of your immediate family accepted as Wikipedia articles. I have to discourage you from that objective. Please read the conflict of interest policy and the notability policy. You haven't shown that you or your family members are notable in the peculiar Wikipedia sense. Even if they are, you are probably not neutral and will not write about them neutrally. If you want advice about getting these articles accepted, I suggest that you ask at the Teahouse, where you will get friendly advice that will almost certainly agree with my advice that Wikipedia is not how to publicize your family. A tag has been placed on User:Redtds, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. My first attempt at writing a wikipage was deleted today because I did not know the guidelines, policies and rules for writing and publishing pages.
I spent a number of years creating the document.
Could you put me in touch with the delete-administrator?
I would like to obtain the document to preserve its content, and will not repost.

HurricanJava I have not followed the guidelines. I am not a writer, just a programmer. My page was speedy-deleted. The page information was the original copy. Can I have the text of the page emailed to me.

I must read and abide by the policy and guidelines. So sorry for putting you through my violations.

Hello Redtds -- Thanks for your message on my talk page. I have just e-mailed you the deleted content for your archives. However I must warn you that writing biographies of family members (either living or dead) on Wikipedia is very strongly discouraged, and that userspace is not a place for recording research into your family. Generally people can be very meritorious individuals in their local community but only very rarely are suitable for a biography on Wikipedia.
