Again, welcome! --David Biddulph (talk) 16:42, 26 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your username[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Venus Recordings Scandinavia", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it appears to represent an organisation rather than an individual, see WP:CORPNAME. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing this form, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. --David Biddulph (talk) 16:42, 26 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, I see and I don´t think I really understand. We are the production company for Don Bennechi - we do not represent an organisation - we represent Don. Is that against the rules so then of course we will change the username? Await your kind reply and sorry for being an amateur :-) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Venus Recordings Scandinavia (talkcontribs) 19:23, 26 May 2016‎ (UTC)[reply]

You must change your username, you must make the declaration required by WP:PAID, and you must read about conflict of interest. --David Biddulph (talk) 19:28, 26 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Venus Recordings Scandinavia. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 18:37, 26 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I/we are not making articles related to family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products; We are creating an article of the artist Don Bennechi - we are only a productioncompany - but please advice me exactely what to do - and please do not block us - we are new "here". Regina

May 2016[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Thank you.  —SMALLJIM  19:44, 26 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, so I made a new request and changing the username to my real name... Hope it wont take to long time to be approved? Also, will I lose the draft? Regina Venus Recordings Scandinavia (talk) 19:57, 26 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I am still blocked?

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Requested username:

Request reason:

I have changed the name of the account to my own name - so there will be no conections or missunderstandings - but it seems that I am blocked anyway?- Regina Andersson (talk) 20:55, 26 May 2016 (UTC)

Accept reason:

Now that your username has changed, I have lifted your block. Remember to read up on WP:COI and WP:PROMO. It would likely be inappropriate to create or edit articles on topics directly related to your employer. Yamla (talk) 21:02, 26 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You say "We are the production company for Don Bennechi - we do not represent an organisation - we represent Don." That very, very definitely means it would be inappropriate for you to create an article on him. You'll want to request that Draft:Don_Bennechi be deleted now. --Yamla (talk) 21:04, 26 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked for continued promotion[edit]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for continued violations of WP:PROMO after prior warning. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

contribs) deleted page Draft:Don Bennechi (G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion: Created by someone working at Bennechi's production company.) I am not after making PR I did all you wanted me to do and still "accused" - again I write as a privatperson. So please unblock me - this time I really tried to make it good. Regina Regina Andersson (talk) 18:53, 27 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

There is no reason to unblock you if you're going to continue to try to create an article about an individual who clearly does not meet WP:BIO. OhNoitsJamie Talk 20:59, 27 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

This may be a case of biting the newcomer. I am making a request for unblock as a favor to Regina for 2 reasons: (1) this editor may be sincerely trying to contribute (see my discussion here), although it is indeed a COI; (2) Don Bennechi may be marginally notable, see here. -- P 1 9 9   19:24, 30 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Unblock requests will only be looked at when made by the blocked editor.
