Your recent edits

[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 23:55, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Using IMDB as a source

[edit]

IMDB is not considered a WP:RS reliable source since - like Wikipedia - much of the content can be edited by users. Sometimes IMDB is adequate as a weak source, since some of the information does come from official press releases but better sources are preferred. -- Horkana (talk) 01:08, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Pizza appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe this important core policy. Thank you. OhNoitsJamie Talk 22:44, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Departure Songs, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page French (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Walter's ramblings

[edit]

You wrote that a vandal removed content: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Loudest_Sound_Ever_Heard&diff=797784819&oldid=794456956 I am not a vandal. I removed it, with an explanation every time. How is that vandalism? Are you familiar with WP:RS, and WP:PRIMARY? Perhaps you should acquaint yourself with them. Also, WP:AGF. There are others. If you want to discuss how to make constructive contributions, feel free to ask. Walter Görlitz (talk) 05:32, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Walter, your reverts are based on nothing but your personal opinion, not constructive reasoning or adding relevant information to articles. I see you have been banned quite a number of times for edit-warring and sock-puppeting. Continue to edit-war and I'll push for you to be banned again, including your IP address. I will not be bullied. So play nice. Religious Burp (talk) 05:56, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry you don't get it. You're not being bullied. You're being asked to explain the WP:PRIMARY sources you're adding. Feel free to push back. Walter Görlitz (talk) 06:14, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You have no grounds for claiming I'm antagonistic when you made clear WP:BATTLEGROUND statements above. All I did was make policy- and guideline-based reverts and I'm asking for policy or guideline reasons for including WP:PRIMARY content and you offer opinion, name calling and request topic bans. I'm becoming concerned with your presence. Walter Görlitz (talk) 14:52, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You can try to bait & bully, but I won't sink to your level. That is why you are reported. Wikipedia is not the place to bully or attempt to assert yourself over others. It is a source of information. That is why you have been blocked so many times by a number of people and regularly edit war. Religious Burp (talk) 22:55, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The Prayer Chain

[edit]

After you mentioned the band article I put it on my list to check. You made the edit while I was away on vacation, otherwise I would have reviewed them sooner. You removed multiple {{citation needed}} templates and did not provide references. You unnecessarily created short sections with incorrect capitalization (See MOS:HEADING). You essentially took the article back to your earlier state and added some more content. That's a huge problem. Walter Görlitz (talk) 23:16, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

August 2017

[edit]

Information icon Please do not attack other editors, as you did at Talk:The Loudest Sound Ever Heard. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. You have made another over-generalization of my behaviour. I pointed you to WP:NPA here and stated that if you commented on the contributor rather than the content I would start a warning process. Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:53, 30 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your comment that you have not made personal attack is not correct. As I pointed to above, WP:NPA is clear on what constitutes a personal attack, and you have made several, both here and on Talk:The Loudest Sound Ever Heard. Even claiming that I am "removing content about a band because he doesn't like the band itself" is patently false. You don't know which bands I do and don't like, which albums I do and don't have, or which concerts I have or have not attended. Of course, none of this is related to the topic of whether mater is reliably sourced or not. Walter Görlitz (talk) 02:13, 30 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Your repeated assertions that I am personally attacking you are without basis. Have I ever removed your content? No. Standing up to bullying is not a personal attack. You have bullyed me and constantly tried to assert yourself over me (such as you are doing here), in addition to your misplaced condescension. It only creates a hostile environment and does nothing to enhance Wikipedia. That is why you have been blocked a number of times by a number of people, so this is more than my opinion. I will not engage any further with you because your bullying doesn't deserve the time of day. Religious Burp (talk) 02:59, 30 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Misuse of Edit Warring Noticeboard

[edit]

Hi there. Not sure if you missed my note to you or something, but as I already explained, the edit warring noticeboard is about edit-warring. It's not the place for people to air out every single grievance you have about another editor. I'm not saying you're right or wrong about your complaints, I'm just saying you're wasting your time writing it there. You're doing the equivalent of going down to the post office to complain about a local politician or something - you're complaining at the wrong venue.
