Hello, I'm DVdm. I noticed that you recently removed all content from Apopysomyces variabilis, with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the page's content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. DVdm (talk) 18:48, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I mistakenly created the article when it was far from complete. So, I deleted the content and moved it back to my sandbox. Is this okay? ThanksRenatofrart (talk) 18:53, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely. My apologies for that warning. Cheers - DVdm (talk) 18:56, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, you went into it and corrected something after the blanking had been reverted, making me thing you still were happy with it being there. If you really don't want the original article, please put {{db-G7}} at the top of it, or say here you want it deleted. I'll be watching this page for a day or so. User:Peridon, I am the student's instructor. It seems that the student's sandbox article was inadvertently moved to AfC by User:Aggie80, and subsequently moved to the main WP by User:Tikuko. Meanwhile, the student's sandbox has disappeared and instead redirects to the AfC (which is misspelled). I corrected the spelling of the genus name, and the stub, Apophysomyces variabilis now appears to be correct on the main WP. The incorrectly spelled article, Apopysomyces variabilis should be removed. Is there a way to restore the student's sandbox, User:Renatofrart/sandbox to a normal blank sandbox? Thanks! Medmyco (talk) 17:05, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Both the unwanted pages removed. If a new sandbox is wanted, just recreate it. To request deletion of a user page, the user may use {{db-U1}} - that doesn't require there to only be one substantial author like G7 does. (It only works in user space, though.) Peridon (talk) 19:08, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks User:Peridon. This was a challenging problem. Medmyco (talk) 19:29, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
When a wrong title is saved, don't forget that it can just be moved to the correct spelling (and if the wrong one isn't worth keeping as a redirect, G7 or R3 can be applied for by the mover). G7 is better to use for article deletion than blanking, as we do get zealous patrollers assuming vandalism - I did it myself once or twice in my early days. There's no doubt about a G7 - except where someone has edited to add content while signed out. It's hard to tell who an IP is. I usually decline to delete when an IP has appeared adding stuff. I hope that some of your students get the taste for editing here - it can be fun and satisfying work, and you can pop in and out as you please. Peridon (talk) 19:44, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I have one but it isn't great. I'm going to take a couple more which hopefully will be better. Medmyco (talk) 16:22, 29 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
