List of artists I'd love to see article-d[edit]

Guy Aitchison, Vyvyn Lazonga, Filip Leu, Grime, Horiyoshi III, Marcus Pacheco, Aaron Caine, Sabado, Eric Merrill,Stephan Chaudesaigues, Bugs, Deano Cook, Damon Conklin, Gil Montie, and about a dozen more, and maybe me.

If anyone wants to pick some of them up and write them, that would rock! Resonanteye

If you want me to see your post here[edit]

Then post here, since there is a big box at the bottom, and a list here above.

Tattoo machine/gun[edit]

Yo. I also have never heard of it being called a 'gun,' hence the lack of sources; however, when I made my edit the title of the article was Tattoo Gun, and the rest of the article used Tattoo Machine exclusively; there was still no agreement on renaming it, so I added the alternative name to the article text. Robust good sense, if you ask me.

Still, it SHOULD be called Tattoo Machine...and since it's now been renamed as such, feel free to remove all references to 'Gun.'

Awesomeness. I don't think they all should be removed, justthat it is made clearthat it is a slang trm used by the uninitiated. I have heard many clients and also a lot of illicit "tattooers" use the word. Resonanteye 14:59, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much. I was just feeling a bit low as it took me forever to figure out how to add the copyright tag...and got called stupid about three times in the process! ;> anyway back to being an insomniac proofreader. Resonanteye 07:46, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Resonanteye! I think your copyedits have improved the article. I think the scope of your edits and your pace in making them have been good. That article needs a lot of work, thank you for tackling it and I hope you'll stick with it. Chondrite 09:34, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I like the subject, know nothing about it, and will try to stick with it and hit it again in a few days. Thanks so much for your feedback, it's helpful to me to know if what I am doing is helping or hurting! Resonanteye

Emergency contraception[edit]

Hi--thanks for copyeditig EC article--you did a great job of improving it, esp. catching mistakes that people who have read it over and over/reg editors become blind to. I did change two little things back--"overestimated" and "reaction"-the first because it changed the meaning of the sentence, and the second because it's an official term from the postmarketing surveillance report (I think there is a diff between hypersensitiviy and hypersensitivity reaction--the first is a predilection, the second an event...) But those are no big deal/were totally non-obvious.

Tks again, Cindery 17:03, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your comment of GNAA on AfD[edit]

Please state your intent (Keep, Delete) on whether to keep or to delete. Your comment is somewhat unclear. If you just want to stay neutral, please state so. SYSS Mouse 03:02, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My post on this topic began-

"I think it should be kept. I am glad that wikipedia provides informative content on subjects that are usually outside the view of print encyclopedias, including internet culture and graffiti art and underground music and literature. Many of these topics are notable in the sense that they are exerting a change in the way popular culture approaches art and media, leaning gradually more toward a do-it-yourself manner of communicating. They are a notable facet of internet culture, as a group. They are notable in the way that Mae West (I recently learned) was notable for being blacklisted from mention on NBC for nearly 30 years, until her death, because of her flagrant disregard for standards and morals of the time. Many sources are unable to make reference to a group with an offensive title. The groups The Butthole Surfers and Dead Kennedys(sic) were both quite well-known for some years before their entire names were seen in print. I think having this article preserved, cleaned up, sourced, and copyedited would make it useful and informative, as well as completely worth the ironic and self-referential snickers. I have not been here long, but this kind of article, despite its subject's wretched and juvenile humour, is the reason wikipedia is a better and more current source than Britannica. Also, I think they're getting off on the moves for deletion. Resonanteye 01:17, 28 November 2006 (UTC)"

I took the liberty to move your "vote" to where your comment is. SYSS Mouse 03:32, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I did not realize that the statement, "I think it should be kept" did not count as a vote. Thanks again. Resonanteye

Cannabis sources[edit]

Maybe you should reconsider removing the commercial link in cannabis cultivation, if they really are a source used. Just because they make money is no reason to deny them credit. Dolive21 10:42, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would ... however, they were cited in the caption of an image that they weren't used as a source for. So I believe they weren't cited as a source for anything in the article, just tacked on to the end of a list of several links which were used as reference.

If you look at their link(which I did) you can't find any of the information that they were cited next to, only pages selling and promoting different products.

Resonanteye 11:02, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, not everyone is as through as you. Some people just see a commercial link and take it off. I reckoned the best thing to do as I did not know how thorough you were was to leave a message on your talk page. Thank you for your swift response. Dolive21 11:12, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh of course. I went and looked because I wanted to see if we could cite it elsewhere in the article, too, because there are some spots that could use more sources. I agree that just because it is a com site it should be there if it has relevant information. Look over on the Talk:Tattoo page, there's a little debate about just that. I love the erowid.org site, though. Resonanteye 11:18, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
