What you need is really two things. The draft needs to be less like a resume, and it needs reliable secondary sources. Instead of scouring the internet for fellowships and awards, you are better off finding professional reviews of his published works. I have a few examples for you, of articles that are by no means great--but they pass notability standards, because of coverage in secondary sources: Elizabeth Meese and Margaret J. Kartomi. For Meese, that's mainly academic reviews--that's the kind of thing you need to find for your poet. For Violet Dias Lannoy it was a bit easier to find sources, so I had enough to flesh out a decent biography. But I can't stress this enough: secondary sources, and for poets and writers and academics that often means reviews of their work. Good luck, Drmies (talk) 17:03, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
