Ok, sorry for the cahnges on Next United Kingdom general election polls and i have a question: what's the diffrence between weighted and unweighted polls?
Hi again David.jovanovikj - that's ok, there's no need to apologise! I just thought I'd let you know my reasons directly because it's often hard to explain just using the edit descriptions. To answer your question, an unweighted poll directly reports the responses given by those interviewed/questioned. While this can sound good in theory, it tends to produce very distorted results, as some groups can be over-represented while others are under-represented. As such, pretty much every polling company in Britain produces weighted survey results, which adjust the raw figures to bring them more into line with the voting population as a whole.
