Blocked[edit]

You have been blocked indefinitely for evading the block on this IP address.

The only way you might be unblocked is to promise that you will not make direct edits relating to royalty without raising a discussion on the article's talk page first, and to stop calling every edit you disagree with "vandalism." See WP:EW and WP:NOTVAND for why. Ian.thomson (talk) 19:57, 22 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Ian.thomson,

I really do not understand, I think its a mystake because I have not connection at all with this Ip adress and no connection with 194.199.4.202. Can you unblocked my account?

I am not the same user than 194.199.4.202 but another who also noticed the hoaxes of Heraldique21 and I also removed the contributions of Heraldique21 because there are hoaxes about fake titles (same problem with this user Heraldique21 on french Wikipedia).

Heraldique21 takes everybody for fools and you got trapped.

Thanks. --Review2018 (talk) 20:04, 22 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Almost all of your edits were continuing edits carried out by that IP address:
If you could link to a discussion among administrators on Fr.Wikipedia about the user, that would help your case.
Mass reversions with little explanation are generally disruptive. "Fake" or "hoax" is also generally a bad word to use for material that is not obviously wrong. That said, looking over Heraldique21's contributions, I see that the material added was unsourced (which we don't like even if the material is supposedly correct). I'm going to leave them a note explaining this and go through their contributions, removing any unsourced material. How they react (and if you could link to some relevant discussion on Fr.Wikipedia) will determine what happens next.
(edit conflict) Calling us fools was not a good idea. If you're just concerned about the integrity of the articles, then as long as the articles are fixed, it won't matter to you if you remained blocked, eh? Ian.thomson (talk) 20:24, 22 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I've warned Heraldique21 against adding Henry Salas-Perez to any more articles. Ian.thomson (talk) 21:16, 22 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ian.thomson,

I'm really sorry you misinterpreted my reverts of my cancellations of Heraldique21's contributions, but I'm not used to English Wikipédia and I didn't know that it is forbidden to cancel a hoax. I would have canceled them as you did for the reason "no sources".

I assure you that I have no connection at all with 194.199.4.202 even if I think his cancellations were right but the reason "vandalism" no appropriate. If you don't trust me you can do a Sockpuppet investigations.

I think I do not have to be penalized for for canceling the modification of Heraldique21 that were not not justified :

I noticed that Heraldique21 seems to give some fantaisy tittle on Wikipédia to a Mr Henry Salas-Perez with false sources : It's false when he says that the "Journal officiel de la République française" gives informations about theses titles. In France we are a Republic and The "Journal officiel de la République française" that is the ads newspaper of the government never mention anything concerning titles of nobility...

So, I apologize in my action that was not the most appropriate and I ask you to to unblocked me for having canceled the modifications of Heraldique21 for the reason "hoax" instead of "no sources". Thank you very much. (sorry for my bad english) --Review2018 (talk) 01:21, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations

You can use the following template to request that another administrator review your block: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} Ian.thomson (talk) 01:24, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, you can ignore that.
You still have not provided me with a link to a discussion on the Fr.Wikipedia about Heraldique21. Because of this, as far as I know, you're the only user that has had an issue with him.
However, your edits were in the right. For this reason, I'm shortening the block to expire the same time as the block on the IP address.
If you can provide me with a link to a discussion on the Fr.Wikipedia about Heraldique21, then it will be easier to believe that he is a problematic user. So far, all I have found is fr:Discussion utilisateur:Heraldique21, which does not give much of a sign that other users have had a problem with him. Pursuit of the joke by Heraldique21[edit]

Hi Ian.thomson,

I understood that I'm not allowed to say that Heraldique21 is the author of a hoax regarding "Arnaud Henry Salas-Perez 5th Duke of Morny, duke of Talleyrand, head of the House of Talleyrand-Périgord" (even theses affirmations are totally fake : these illustrious families and titles are extinct and have nothing to do with a guy named Arnaud Henry Salas-Perez).

I saw that you asked him for sources, but he does not take it into account and continues what seems a joke :

So, can you do something about that? Thank you very much. --Review2018 (talk) 00:42, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It's not that you're not allowed to say it's fake. Just saying "it's fake" doesn't prove anything. "Unsourced" is immediately obvious.
I've been busy and away from the site but I see that Heraldique21 has .
Hégésippe Cormier provided me with a link to this discussion. I'm blocking Heraldique21 now. Would have had I seen him restoring the material I had just explained was problematic, but I was out of the house during that time. Ian.thomson (talk) 15:19, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
