Generic disambig fix[edit]

Hi, I have reverted your edit to contact (mathematics) where you deleted the link to generic. The intended meaning is nearest that of algebraic geometry: that a property holds for all points except those lying on a proper subvariety. Perhaps it is worth creating a separate disambiguation page for the uses of generic within mathematics, where the term "generic" has a specific, if somewhat imprecise and contextual meaning? That would certainly prevent foulups like this happening in the future. Any thoughts on whether this is a good idea? Silly rabbit 22:37, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The point of a disambiguation page is that if someone types in "generic" then they can select the article they want. I don't think a separate mathematics dab page would be really help, they seem just fine on the generics page.

It's a shame you just reverted the change rather than fixing it. I don't always get the link target correct but I try my best. Deleting a link is repairing links because if there is no article on something then why link to an irrelevant page? A link to a dab page does not give the reader any more information, it's more likely to confuse. There are too many pages that are overlinked and that really want a link to a dictionary definition of the word, but you could link every word in an article. Only relevant terms should be linked. Coleshill railway station[edit]

Once more thank you very much for all your effort to correct the articles. Of course, your changes improved them a lot! I explained the term "stability" and removed ""dm", hoping it is all right now. Would you like to correct the notes, I really do not understand how to do it. What do you think about such a new intro about fluid entropy?

FLUID ENTROPY is an imperceptible value, in simple words it means the measure of the level of disorder in the liquid system. From a scientific point of view fluid entropy is defined as the measure of the unavailability of energy dissipated in liquid; or the measure of the amount of energy dissipated in liquid that is no longer capable of conversion into work, therefore opposite to exergy. From a molecular point of view fluid entropy means energy dispersal due to changes in molecular motions and occupancy of micro states [1].

It is a difficult and quite unknown subject, personally I am interested in another aspect of entropy, but I need these articles first to be done in order to write the one I like. I have a Feigenbaum diagram (for an airplain), placing it on the page will surely help to understand the problem of fluid entropy. Do you maybe know how to copy it on Wikipedia and then make some necessary changes? Is it possible to send the diagram as an e-mail to you so you can see how it looks?

For the diagram, I would suggest saving it in PNG format in preference to JPEG if it is a computer-generated image rather than a photograph. Then if you put it on a page or the discussion page of an article I can take a look if you want. To do this have a read of WP:IMAGE. Make sure you state the copyright status otherwise it will be deleted.

I didn't change your citations because I couldn't quite work out the information in them, hence why I thought you might be able to! Perhaps if I can do some you can see the pattern.
