That was surprisingly good fun, and a rather handy introduction to basic code! P.S. Bold and Italics, just for kicks. Rich6500 (talk) 10:12, 5 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:18, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Independent Power Corporation. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Will do it properly next time. Thanks for the advice! Rich6500 (talk) 12:21, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Peter Earl has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable businessperson, no in-depth coverage in reliable sources. Provided citations are to sources that are either not independent or mere mentions. The best coverage in a possibly-independent source is [1], which does not seem particularly reliable.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. signed, Rosguill talk 07:16, 24 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rosguill, is there any way to get the text of a deleted page back? I’m hoping to re-edit it and include new sources, but I don’t have the draft I originally did saved. Thanks! Rich6500 (talk) 17:16, 11 August 2020 (UTC)Rich6500[reply]

Peter Earl moved to draftspace

[edit]

Here you go, feel free to either submit it through AfC or move it to mainspace yourself when you think the article is ready. signed, Rosguill talk 17:25, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Peter Earl

[edit]

Hello, Rich6500. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Peter Earl".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 17:41, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
