Your edit to Demographics of China has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have no information about the source. If you want to redo the edit, please provide the source of where you got the data from. RayAdvait (talk) 06:06, 25 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Changed population numbers from ENDYEAR population (as here: http://www.stats.gov.cn/tjsj/ndsj/2021/indexeh.htm) to MIDYEAR population using SAME data, according to the table header and other countries' data. Also changed births and deaths crude rates according to http://www.stats.gov.cn/tjsj/ndsj/2021/indexeh.htm Rickky1409 (talk) 22:02, 25 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That source doesn't show any data about mid 2021 or mid 2020. RayAdvait (talk) 02:18, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It only shows about end of 2020 which is 1,412,120,000 RayAdvait (talk) 02:19, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am a demographer Alexey Raksha and I was working at Russian official state statistics in demographics branch for 6+ years, you can find me on Youtube and elsewhere. In demographic statistics MIDYEAR population is decided to equal AVERAGE yearly population (population on Dec, 31rd of the previous year, 1st Jan of counted year plus the population on Dec 31st, counted year or Jan, 1st, next year, and the sum halved, e.g. divided by 2) in the case of absence of monthly, quarterly or half-year statistics, like in OFFICIAL Russian, Ukrainian, Belorussian, etc. statistics. Just check it out. 95% of the demographics of... series in Wikipedia use this same calculation ((Y2021-01-01 + Y2022-01-01)/2 or Y2020-12-31+Y2021-12-31)/2), e.g. Russia, USA, etc. The difference between MIDYEAR and AVERAGE population is usually negligible whereas between MIDYEAR and ENDYEAR population is noticeable. Just divide births/deaths numbers of any other country where you could find end- or begining of the-year population by this population and you won't end up with official CBR or CDR, because for such calculations AVERAGE or MIDYEAR is used, but NOT ENDYEAR.
China don't publish monthly, quarterly or half-year statistics, so it's the clear case.
If you want the article on China to be unique, you'd better RENAME the column HEADER from "Midyear population" to "ENDYEAR population', but this will contradict the almost every other's countries statistics.
Best Regards,
