Your recent edits[edit]

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 18:16, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

All I did was contribute to the page fade to black (click on the song) and represented what seemed to be some people's intreprations to the song. I do not see how that was vandalism

Decline reason:

In order to keep Wikipedia as accurate as possible, we need all contributions to be sourced using Reliable Sources (Please check both links). The block's length is at admin's discretion, but should you provide sources for your edits an request an other unblock with quoting them, an other administrator might be able to assist you. Thanks. — -- lucasbfr talk 22:44, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

unblock|After looking around on google.com I have realized that my postings were false but I have also only recently realized that you need a valid source in order to contribute to an article. My postings on the song fade to black were not of ill will or vandalism. I was angered when a previous edit before mine was labeled as vandalism (the editor was my cousin) and he wanted me to help him clear his name of vandalism. I was wrong and with no real knowledge of Metallica's songs thought his theory made sense. He then later told me it wasn't stated by the frontman of the band but just his (my cousin's) interpretation which I felt still needed to be defended on the page. After reading the guidelines of wikipedia I have realized that my actions were indeed vandalism. I was only trying to help on topics I clearly knew nothing about (Mr. Hanky and Metallica) which I realize now is not the best thing to do. I apologize on my and my cousin's behalf (whom I've realized was a vandal) and I would appreciate having some leniency on the extent of my block (I understand I was vandalizing though not under the clear knowledge that I was, and that I very well should be blocked for a certain amount of time, I do however feel that an indefinite block may be a little too harsh on me.) The talk page (which recently was reverted saying I vandalized that as well) shows my intentions as I reverted other fixes to my vandalism. Again I oppologize and wish to be granted a second chance. The previous vandalism while hard to believe was not by me but by other students using the computer I stayed logged in at. My school's IP address was warned for a few acts of vandalism and I had decided to create a user name for myself. I then found out a week later that my username (which stayed logged in) was used in acts of vandalism. I had deleted those warnings because I felt that those acts were not done by me so should not show on my page. I have only started contributing to wikipedia quite recently. This will be my last request to be unblocked or have my block reduced, due to the fact that I have stated my case as well as I feel I can.
