Proposed deletion of Go Faster Stripe

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Go Faster Stripe, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Self-promotional, unsourced, not notable.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of Go Faster Stripe

I have nominated Go Faster Stripe, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Go Faster Stripe. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Yes, Wikipedia is for everyone, but contributions have to adhere to the notability guidelines that have been agreed upon by the community. Please see the other policies and guidelines for more info on Wikipedia. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Graymornings(talk) 12:42, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

IMDB shouldn't be your only source - the article has assertions that aren't mentioned on IMDB. Sorry, preceding sentence meant for another user talk. Self-published sources shouldn't be your only source. See WP:RELIABLE for more info on citing sources, and WP:CITE if you need info on how to cite. Also consider rewriting the article so that it has an encyclopedic tone. Thanks! Graymornings(talk) 13:17, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What are you referring to as self published sources?

The two sources in the article are affiliated with the subject of the article. This is against Wikipedia's policy guidelines - an article must have third-party sources, not just sources created by the article's subject. Reading this policy page would be a good idea if you'd like to know more. Graymornings(talk) 16:20, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thanks for your uploads. You've indicated that the following images are being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why they meet Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page an image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Bradley Collins article, but I have found one and added it for you. Please try and remember to include sources yourself with future edits. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 18:13, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
